As much as I hate that they cannot simply just be bought at a hardware store without a 4473, I'm seeing a lot of discussion about suppressors currently being GCA items protects them to a degree. Yes, it's stupid, but it's better than not affording them protections under the second amendment. Obviously I'm not addressing your hypothetical directly, just musing in a way that supports what you're getting at as I read it. ______________________________________________ "If the truth shall kill them, let them die.” Endeavoring to master the subtle art of the grapefruit spoon.

Thank you. I am not familiar with the provisions of the GCA (Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968—? I can tell at sight a Chassepot rifle from a javelin.

Man this is getting more and more confusing by the minute!! PSA is now saying that if you previously purchased a pistol from them or a rifle and you are a current GOA member you can slap a stock on the pistol or slap a sub 16” upper on the rifle and you are good to go. Or at least that is how I am taking this video. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. If we got each other, and that's all we have. ^^^ Why would anyone take legal advice from PSA? Q

I find it interesting how some European countries have much less of an issue with suppressors. Norway is one of the most open, over the counter, no paperwork or registration. Again this is mostly for hunting & target shooting with a rifle. I think too many learned what they think about ‘silencers’ by watching the Bond movies.

Yes there is ambiguity here BUT this now law in Idaho and shops have been selling out of suppressors purchased from silencer shop sitting on the shelf. Nice to see folks buying and walking out with suppressors same day after a 4473 clearance. This is happening nation wide today in “free” states. Can you imagine the bullshit in trying to arrest millions of owners that bought and took possession today? Yeah, don’t think so. This is a huge win gentlemen, don’t overlook it, more to come soon. ________,_____________________________ Guns don't kill people - Alec Baldwin kills people. That fact is something which should be mentioned in any discussion of the subject with the ignorant. It may open the eyes of anyone who is the least bit familiar with how tightly controlled in many ways life is in most European countries as compared with the U.S. I fully realize how easy it is to become discouraged about ever changing minds about some things, but if enough of the ignorant become educated about how suppressors are harmless, how their use benefits everyone, not just shooters, and what their actual effects are, perhaps the horse will learn to sing. Yeah, it's confusing. And what does "complete rifle" mean in this instance? I bought a PSA AR-10 lower, and afterwards bought a PSA AR-10 upper. That's a complete rifle, made by PSA. Just wasn't combined in a single purchase. Not taking legal advice from an outfit that has disclaimers prominently in their video.

PSA’s lawyers can put their stamp of approval on the claim all they want. That’s not the answer to my question. Read it again. So, would you take legal advice from PSA? If you do and are prosecuted later by the government, do you think your defense of “PSA told me so” will pass muster? Q

as a dealer, in a currently free state, how do I know if you are a GOA member, or PSA Customer, or member of whatever group exempts you? do I record your GOA member number on the 4473 somewhere? or do I just look at a PSA sticker you have etc etc? so, whilst other dealers in the area are going all 4473 today, (they have kiosks, I do not) I am holding tight until I get some clarification thru ATF or just about any word from someone other than a Social Media Lawyer, https://chandlersfirearms.com/chesterfield-armament/

I have 10 PSA lowers and I’m an NRA member, so what does that mean for me? The NRA-ILA supported Jensen case was consolidated with the GOA supported Silencer Shop case. Next question: Even if the GCA still requires transfers of SBRs and SBSs to use the NFA forms, is there any affect on a person covered in the injunctions ability to just put a short barrel on an already possessed rifle or shotgun? There’s no transfer and what does the GCA have to say about an individual making his own SBR or SBS?

So, as we can see, it's not all cut and dried. Be careful, gents. It's going to take a while to sort this out, perhaps a long while.

Nothing! As usual when it comes to the NRA. They are quite worthless as they are not a part of the suit. They claim to be supporters but they get you no relief as they are not an actual party in the suit. https://www.nraila.org/article...DpRFLFcSICSf-aebx7qw ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. We're talking about Federal law, yes? There must be uniformity, but we're talking about this state and that state, and who was or was not part of the lawsuit, and who is or is not a member of this organization or that. This is not going to work as it now stands. There's no way. This is the clusteryest of fucks that ever clustered fuckingly.

Transfers of cans between individuals (no dealer) are strictly prohibited. I just watched a video with the CEO of SS where this was addressed "Attack life, it's going to kill you anyway." Steve McQueen...

I just came back from my FFL to pick up a pistol. I asked them about this new ruling. As of today here in Nevada, they were instructed by their local ATF contact person NOT TO SELL anything without using Form 4. _______________________ P228 - West German

-TVz
Transfers of cans between individuals (no dealer) are strictly prohibited. I just watched a video with the CEO of SS where this was addressed
Thought the whole point of keeping cans as “firearms” was to protect them from rogue legislators, yet while you can sell a firearm to any proper person without going thru a FFL, that’s disallowed for cans? So some guns are more equal than others? This is definitely a cluster!
