Well she ended up staying in the area. When they (she's mid 60's with a man friend) went to leave the evacuation route was already a dog pile. They are going to ride it out in his condo. Fourth floor of a hurricane constructed building. Hopefully they don't regret it. Now looking like Milton is going to hit just South of Tampa. Looking like our place down there will get to experience the eye just like with Ian. | |||

Hopefully they won’t mind a few days with the possibility of no power or water while they wait for the water to drain away outside. Just in case the water goes off, I’d suggest filling a tub or two so you can flush the toilets, at least! | |||

Got the shutters put up this morning, then decided to weed eat and mow the yard before it got saturated. I swear the yard gets bigger every year. _____________________________________________ I may be a bad person, but at least I use my turn signal. | |||

Ryan Hall, Y'all channel is good with deep resources and a calm, non-screamy presentation. Currently at 18 tornado warnings at one time (!!!), many of them severe velocity. Incredible and way inland/east/south of track so heads up to you and any of yours that are anywhere in the area. That's like a bad day in NE, not FL. Spent all day yesterday prepping. Took down the Halloween decorations for the second time, first was Helene. Cleaned out the garage so both cars could go in. Chainsaw is ready. Generator for fridges, fans and charging phones is ready. Now just have to make it through the night and see what morning light brings. I lived through Charley in 2004. The eye of the store came through my neighborhood. I ran a chainsaw for six days straight. I hoping I do not have to do that again. | |||

We had a couple tornadoes in St. Lucie County not long ago and are getting constant warnings about more to come. Praying hard for the Good Lord to be merciful. | |||
