Congress doesn’t have the Constitutional right to wrote a law about abortion if you believe in the “other” parts of the Constitution. If it’s not specifically enumerated then it’s a states rights issue. Congress needs to stay in their lane. This is a big deal. Abortion is just the argument bringing it to light.

Congress can propose an Amendment to the Constitution however any Amendment would need to be ratified by a super-majority (three fourths) of the States! Article V - Amendment Process: "The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution, or, on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments, which, in either Case, shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as Part of this Constitution, when ratified by the Legislatures of three fourths of the several States, or by Conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other Mode of Ratification may be proposed by the Congress; Provided that no Amendment which may be made prior to the Year One thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any Manner affect the first and fourth Clauses in the Ninth Section of the first Article; and that no State, without its Consent, shall be deprived of its equal Suffrage in the Senate." ____________________________________________________________ If Some is Good, and More is Better.....then Too Much, is Just Enough !! Seriously? Even after reading Article V of the Constitution as posted above by nhracecraft? There's a big difference between "propose" and "right to change or amend". 3/4 of the several States have to agree... which is why it doesn't happen very often. "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor

Wait, what? |
3/4 of the states are not going alter the constitution to include abortion as a right. They’re just not. It’s crass in the extreme. This is clearly a states right issue, not one that the federal government needs to overstep its authority on and never has been. Personally, I am uncomfortable with the level of acceptance we have gotten to with clear cases of infanticide. The current mentality smacks of amoral laziness. A vast majority of abortions could be avoided by lazy assholes bothering to use contraception. “Remember to get vaccinated or a vaccinated person might get sick from a virus they got vaccinated against because you’re not vaccinated.” - author unknown

Not gonna go down the pro or anti sides of this. Yes, if they over turn R vs W it will set off the libtards. Imagine what they did when Texas passed their new abortion law X 100. I my limited reading on R vs W it was a flawed decision as it was decided on privacy. It needs to be struck down and handed to the states to decide. If CA wants abortion go for it...if Texas does not good on them. People will move to the places that support their beliefs....and hopefully all the GD progs will get out of Texas. We will probably also see corporations move to more free (whatever you think is free) states. If the above does happen I fear we will move one step closer to the point that the USA is torn asunder.

Ok, "propose." If pedropcola had said "Supreme Court" instead of "Congress," I'd be in agreement with him. Year V

Back, and to the left |
As Dewhorse said, I will not come down on one side or another of the issue. My purpose in posting that opinion video was to make everyone aware that the timing of this case could very well lend traction (however great or small) to an enemy that has virtually none at the moment. That was it, just awareness. I knew it was old, sweaty dynamite. But I felt the info was important enough to disturb this particular steaming pile. Again. I wish the timing were different but their decision will likely be announced this summer. So be it then. I agree with Dewhorse.
