Get a nomination going and get the vote done one way or another. If we lose that vote, nominate another...(assuming that's legal)..

Help the politically illiterate here: What does this do for/to Nancy’s plans to “forcefully remove” Trump in the scenario you pointed out above? Is she mostly dead in the water?

Trump shouldn't screw around, and almost immediately nominate Amy Barrett. She's conservative enough, she has the resume, and since she's a woman will make it harder for the Dems to attack her. They still will, of course, but the attacks will ring that much more hollow. Also if Collins and Murkowski can't be brought on board any other way, having a female nominee give the the cover to get back on the reservation.

The left has a lost a vote in the matter. If we fill the position, we win in this respect and if we don't fill the position, we win in this respect.

That threat was mostly lip service to begin with. Now that statement is little more than a fart in a tornado. Just a little noise without much substance.

And if that seat is not filled if/when that case came up, well, that's in President Trump's favor. If it is filled, it's in President Trump's favor.

That’s a good point. But, it basically ensures Roberts will “embrace his role as the swing vote” (or whatever the hell the media calls it), and it’s a tie...now what? I swear, the way 2020 is going, that’s a forgone conclusion now that I think about it.

Look for all of the usual suspects to absolutely hyperventilate pulling out all the stops they can to thwart DJT on her vacancy, as well as the rapidly approaching elections.

I disagree.

Not with Barrett. She is awesome.

I think Trump should nominate her tomorrow morning. Smile

What happens if we push? What happens if we don’t? Could pushing now cost us the White House and the senate? Waiting to fill it is a risk for sure though. We could lose anyways. If we push and the left starts to riot again, I think that makes people tired of their shit again.

I just think there are a shit load of angles to consider here. Will Susan Collins and other vulnerable senators vote to confirm anyone? Who else could lose? I don’t think this is an easy call at all. I’m voting Trump either way, but what will moderates think? That’s the big question imo.

I don’t know the answers to these questions. However, my experience is that President Trump seems to play eight dimensional chess while the Lefties struggle with checkers. I’m not sure what the right approach is, but I am pretty confident that it will be whatever PDJT does.
