One doesn't read much about exactly why Smollett did this crazy moronic stunt, his true motive. It was never for the good of the commie agenda, it was never for politics, to try and harm the Trump Presidency or any other social justice bullshit. It was purely 100% selfish greed.

Interestingly in this opinion piece I read yesterday, in Rolling Stone of all places, the title of the piece is "Jussie Smollett Wanted To Be a Hero. Instead, He Destroyed His Career" Getting past some woke shit in the article, the gay black writer goes into the reason why he thinks Smollett did this shit; after a big premier season of his TV show Empire, it started to go downhill in ratings, and his TV character started to take a downhill slide as well. His music career was a complete, total bust, and the other bigger stars of the show were seeing more roles and revenue streams outside of the series, and he wasn't. Smollett was likely going to become another TV one-hit-wonder casualty, also feeling he was going to be written out of the show eventually.

He created the hoax to make himself a public hero, a more famous person than he was in real life; in fact on talk shows afterwards, he proclaimed victory over his MAGA hat white supremacist attackers "I fought the fuck back, they ran off, I didn't". All of this bullshit to save his dwindling career. It takes a real pathetic piece of work to pull off something this stupid, and a bigger stupid piece of shit double down on all of the lies, even past sentencing by a judge.

The judge used words like narcissist and selfish, but should have also included sociopath/psychopath. Zero remorse. No empathy, no conscience. Pathological liar. Manipulation of others for personal gain. Will not take responsibility for his actions. Extreme delusions of grandeur. There seems to be a warped mix of Walter Mitty and Travis Bickle in his mindset.

And nobody is coming out to defend him after the sentencing; no riots, no celebrity tweets, no protests of outrage, nothing. And I'll bet he was expecting a country wide uproar over his sentence. He is now a pariah, similar to OJ, and will likely never work in Hollywood again. His family will no longer have a celebrity cash cow to leech off of, the money is all gone to lawyers. After 150 days in the can, the public will soon forget him.

I believe that Juicy's lawyers' and family's request should be honored. Immediately release Juicy from the psych ward and protective custody and stick him in the general population.

I wonder how quickly Juicy would be feeling suicidal after he left the psych ward? Would he even make it out into the hallway?

Now he's being compared to Emmett Till. Obscene. Emmett Till was a child who did not know any better. Till meant no real harm. He was simply ignorant. Smollett, on the other hand, is a 39 year old adult who faked a hate crime. Till paid for his mistake with his life. Smollett gets locked up for a couple of months. There is quite simply no comparison. Both Smollett and his supporters are whining, coddled little bitches.

Well number three here. I had never heard of or watched Empire either and only discovered this Star juss until he made himself famous in the news lying to the cops. I watch my share of TV though.

Emmett Till comparison is beyond the pale. It was the early fifties and he allegedly whistled at a white woman. He was beaten to death and thrown in the river. He was 14 and from Chicago which did not have Jim Crow laws.

False comparisons are a classic Leftist tactic.

Just a cursory glance at the history of the TV series shows it was dying way before Smollett decided to play in the snow with his Nigerian buddies. After a big premier season, the numbers dropped a little the next year, then dropped substantially more the following year. By its 4th season, the show lost over 60% of its viewership, dying on the vine, with each consecutive season losing millions more viewers. Smollett was just the coup de grace, putting the show out of its misery.

I have never seen one minute of the series, woke TV shows with an all-black cast centered on rap music was never my cup of tea.

Obviously, you are not down with the struggle.

His "hoax" was in effect (as well as intent) a "Hate Crime", knowingly committed against those who don't look like him or vote as he did, out of malice. Smollett hoped his personal animus would fuel hatred and responses by others and he's shown exactly ZERO remorse for his actions. Why should any court provide leniency in cases like this? If anything, his behavior during sentencing should result in more time in custody.
