From what I understand, this is correct. Jussie had the charges dropped by the prosecutor, it was not dismissed by a court.

When charges are dropped, it means that the prosecutor has decided not to proceed with the case for a variety of reasons. But this doesn’t prevent them from reintroducing the charges later if new evidence pop up. When charges are dismissed, this action usually prevents the case from being brought forth again.

Jussie was not tried twice, no double jeopardy occurred.

It wasn't that the charges were dropped, it was that he cut a deal with the prosecution, and lived up to his end of it. It was prosecutorial misconduct and a miscarriage of justice, but the court said he held up his end of the deal, even though his end of the deal didn't amount to a wet fart.

"The people hate the lizards and the lizards rule the people."
"Odd," said Arthur, "I thought you said it was a democracy."
"I did," said Ford, "it is."
"So," said Arthur, hoping he wasn't sounding ridiculously obtuse, "why don't the people get rid of the lizards?"
"It honestly doesn't occur to them. They've all got the vote, so they all pretty much assume that the government they've voted in more or less approximates the government they want."
"You mean they actually vote for the lizards."
"Oh yes," said Ford with a shrug, "of course."
"But," said Arthur, going for the big one again, "why?"
"Because if they didn't vote for a lizard, then the wrong lizard might get in."

So, once again we have an example of "Justice for thee, not for me." When this happens it has a very negative psychological effect on all Americans.

And that piece of shit foxx, our state’s attorney just laid the blame on Webb.
ZERO mention of her part in dropping the charges, because she got a phone call from mushell obamas people in the middle of the night… no “yeah, I fucked up..”
nothing….

Don’t worry, she’s going to be out of here in a few days. Nice pension… then a nice job somewhere else.

Fuck, I really hate this place.

This is third world corruption. The third world doesn’t create corruption. Corruption creates the third world.

Take a good look at PERCEPTION’s tag line!

If that doesn’t describe Chicago Elections, I don’t know what does!
To think, these fucking morons (not all, but a whole hell of a lot) voted this twat in.
THEN VOTED FOR IT AGAIN!

Shitfoot wasn’t bad enough, so they voted for conehead, someone MORE progressive!

As dear old Dad told me:
Never underestimate the power of stupid people
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in power
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers

The deal was bad in the first place. The level of stupidity of this deal was done on purpose, and Kim Foxx has her fingerprints all over it.

Chicago. Making the Third World look good since 1837.

"I vowed to myself to fight against evil more completely and more wholeheartedly than I ever did before. . . . That’s the only way to pay back part of that vast debt, to live up to and try to fulfill that tremendous obligation."

I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop, Smollett to be awarded some huge dollar settlement for his life being ruined by the false charges brought against him.
Its a continuing Chicago story, Lawyers getting rich off the tax payers wallet.
Dan Webb who was the apointed Special prosecutor is no low tier Lawyer. He and his Law firm spent hundreds of billable hours investigating and prosecuting this case.
It had to be obvious from the start that the plea deal that was given was solid as confirmed by the IL. Supreme Court decision. Webb should have said up front that this would end the way it did.

Now not only do we have to pay millions out for Lawyer fees we also have to watch all the local news channels promote all the fluff stories about Kim Foxx retiring. I'm sure she will end up on the IL Supreme Court one day soon.
