I'm thinking of the South Central LA riots of 1992, Reggie Denny's assault broadcast on live tv.

In subsequent trials the perps' culpability was mitigated because they were caught up in a "mob mentality".

Trying to get my pertinent facts in line, I looked up "Reggie Denny" on Wikipedia, no listing. Roll Eyes

I'm too pissed to make more effort beyond my memory at this stage of the game.

Sound like some old sea shanty. And yet "Reggie Denny" is not easily accessible, hmm?

” The demonstrators spray-painted windows on the building, broke several windows and shined laser lights at agents inside — prompting local police to declare the event a riot.”

Above from Portland ICE riot.

Lasers can cause permanent eye damage. Earlier reports had three officers with possible blindness.

I think a charge of ”assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm to a law enforcement officer ”is indicated. If a Federal Officer was targeted, it is a Federal crime, not local... That bypasses the Liberal local D.A. and Federal law applies. The Liberal p*ssy ”I will not prosecute” will be out of the picture.

If some of the rioters get put away on Federal charges, it could finally get their attention.

Is that too much to hope for?

^^^^^^That’s exactly what needs to happen.

Federal time.

All of these rioters need a serious awakening. Wether it be thru arrest or hickory shampoo. The mayors in these towns are complicit, and need to be run out of town.

Politicians like Lightfoot should read up on what happened to Admiral John Byng of the British Royal Navy, for failure of duty. He lost the Battle of Minorca during the Seven Years War, was court-martialed, sentenced to death, and was executed by firing squad.

Byng's execution was satirised by Voltaire in his novel “Candide“. In Portsmouth, “Candide“ witnesses the execution of an officer by firing squad and is told that "In this country, it is good to kill an admiral from time to time to encourage the others".

Edit: Just announced that the re-scheduled Kentucky Derby will be run on Saturday—Sept 5 but WITHOUT any fans permitted at the track. Supposedly, it is because of the uptick in CoVid-19 spread.

https://www.wlky.com/article/n...Ic30ZLNKbmC1IbulykZ0

In reality, it is because of the on-going disturbances associated with the Breonna Taylor shooting incident. The BLMers, the AntiFa, and the “Not Fucking Around Coalition” (NFAC) of “Mussolini Jay and his Blackshirts” who have promised to “burn the bitch down”.

We are probably headed for a major incident on Tuesday during “BreonnaCon Day” as up to 2000 out-of-towners in 700 vehicles are to descend upon Louisville for “peaceful protests”. Blocking of streets and highways is expected. Louisville Metro PD has cancelled all days off and vacation for that day.

Competing protests last night, from the BLMers and Downtown Merchants, both called for Democrat Mayor Greg Fischer to resign due to his lack of leadership, but for different reasons expressed. Dem-controlled Metro Council is arguing over a “no confidence vote”.

And, as of this posting, Louisville now has had its 103rd homicide this year. The all-time high was 2016 with 117 homicides. Crime rate for car-jacking was up over 400% from June to August, from 14 to 58, over same period in 2019.

Typical expectations of a 52-year consecutive Democrat-controlled Metro area.

Sounds like a hidden group with slingshots launching pebbles at them would discourage them after a couple volleys.

But that's just me...I get cranky when awakened before o-dark-thirty.

“Businesses are leaving,” Portland Business Alliance CEO told KATU. “We need to start to turn the corner now, so that this sort of irreparable damage does not last.”

Between the unnecessary and unnecessarily punitive lockdowns combined with the nightly riots, downtown Portland business owners are not only losing a fortune but fear for their own safety.

One business owner claims to have already lost $20 million.

“The financial consequences to the downtown corridor are a running calculation that is almost impossible to wrap your mind around. The financial impacts of physical damage is one thing, and that continues to increase,” Hoan explained. “Then the ongoing loss of revenue to the business community who cannot operate their places of businesses is also a number that continues to rise.”

Physical damage from the left-wing riots costs money. The stupid lockdowns cost money, keeping customers away. Fear that downtown is no longer safe (a reasonable fear — would you go shopping in downtown Portland?) scares customers away.

How can this not be a financial catastrophe?

A downtown jewelry store was looted for a cool million dollars.

So you not only to worry about the Democrat Party’s Brownshirts storming your business, you have to worry about being assaulted while you walk to your car or to the bus, and you really have to worry about accidentally turning a corner and finding yourself face to face with the mob. These Antifa savages will pull you from your car and beat you within an inch of your life.

Hoan said he doesn’t yet know how many businesses have fled, or what the precise reason is from the multiple choices above, but another factor killing commerce is that downtown Portland looks like something out of the third act of a zombie movie.

“You have blocks and blocks of plywood. You have graffiti. You have an accumulation of damages that are un-repaired, an ongoing perception that coming downtown is not a safe place,” Hoan explained.

As you take this all in, the thing to keep in mind is that when Democrats see this their first thought is that everything is going exactly according to plan.

This is a violent, socialist revolution disguised as righteous protest. Destroying businesses, destroying peace of mind … that the job of the terrorists.

The job of Portland’s elected officials, like that eunuch Mayor Ted Wheeler, is to use President Donald Trump as an excuse to do nothing, is to claim it’s all Trump’s fault and that federal law enforcement officers protecting federal property caused all this.

And then there’s District Attorney Mike Schmidt, who’s created a revolving door. Hardly anyone who’s arrested is prosecuted. So the terrorists all know there are no consequences.

And then there’s Joe Biden, whose job is to ignore the riots and the anarchy, is to gaslight (with the help of the corporate media) us into believing it isn’t really happening.

Well, it is happening, and it’s moving into residential areas, and if Democrats seize power in a couple months, things are going to get a whole lot worse — and things are already worse than we have ever seen them.

At least in my lifetime, I have never lived in a country where one of our two major political parties and all of the establishment media are not only ignoring, but helping to organize and encourage this terrorism.

Local news FOX 12 in PDX reported that local FBI is investigating 1 or 2 bomb threats against Federal buildings. Occupants of the 2 buildings were sent home early today, and people were advised to avoid PDX this weekend. Both Federal buildings have Child care facilities.

Also, the PDX DA office gave a list of offenses not to be prosecuted for 'peaceful' protesting. FOX 12 was to post the list but I can't find it.

One item not to be pursued was 'Interfering with an Officer." WTF?

Meanwhile the 500 dollars per person qualified of free money handed out by Gauleiter Brown was sucked up in 3 days. 35 million dollars was allocated - some 70K people got money and a lot more did not.

It only stands to reason that where there's sacrifice, there's someone collecting the sacrificial offerings. Where there's service, there is someone being served. The man who speaks to you of sacrifice is speaking of slaves and masters, and intends to be the master.

Well things are heating up in Orlando after another shooting 2 weeks ago. Protesters started being arrested last night when they wouldn't get out of the roads.

I was struck by the number of protesters with custom shirts and masks with the victim's likeness - that doesn't come cheap - I wonder who is paying for these to be produced.
