Donald Trump is not a politician, he is a leader, politicians are a dime a dozen, leaders are priceless.

Yup, it was big in the Country Western bars back in the 80’s. Fond memories of my USMC days at MCAS El Toro

Think of it this way: even majority opinion holders in RvW KNEW it had a high probability of being overturned someday.

The Democrats and others interested in such matters knew this and had NEARLY FIFTY YEARS to codify this into law or to amend the Constitution to include such rights.

Edited to add: feel free to hang around, even if you disagree on this one particular matter.

I own a few guns and do not favor abortion. I don’t post all that much here but read a lot due to the wealth of gun knowledge here.

Just a quick, honest question here. Isn’t it odd for the Supreme Court to rule for the states rights on abortion but on the same day strike down state laws related to gun rights? Just a curiosity for me since abortion does not affect me and I live in a gun friendly state.

The second amendment is part of the constitution. There is no amendment re abortion.

Yep.

TENTH AMENDMENT

States respectively, or to the people.

It’s not an airport. You don’t have to announce your departure. Roll Eyes

As for abortion, I can give two shits if it’s legal or not. Many fetuses that are aborted will grow to be thugs, inmates, useless democrats, so from a practical perspective I guess I support abortion in that sense. I’d rather scum bags and democrats never be born in the first place. Oddly, the original planned parenthood folks had the same line of thinking and wanted to abort as many urban babies as possible.

The OP has an extreme delusional hatred towards the evangelical religious right and I’d bet a shiny penny that he finds himself on a watch list sooner rather than later. Unhinged. Get some counseling. Seriously.

Very odd, you've spent decades here and like the place but you're leaving (and feel the need to dramatically announce your departure) because the SCOTUS made a decision you don't like? This forum is for gun lovers, not necessarily a political hangout.

This is typical of the left, instead of sticking around and having a rational conversation where you might change someones mind, you call names, walk out and turn your back on everyone who might have another opinion.

It appears you're a single issue voter and willing to compromise on everything else that is important to you because you prefer the unchecked murder of unborn babies. Says a lot about you but I do wish you well.

The Second Amendment deals with the ownership of guns saying something about "SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED!" Abortions are not addressed in the Bill of Rights, probably because the Founders could not envision a situation in which pregnant women would want to murder their unborn child.

Furthermore, what the Supreme Court essentially ruled is that we have a God given Constitutional right to self defense and to protect innocent life. What we don't have the right to do is to take an innocent life.

That isn't contradictory or "odd" whatsoever in regards to States' rights.
