Not only is YETI facebook page getting lit over this people are now posting to Cabela's asking for them to drop YETI.

Even better RTIC posted on their social media pages a picture of the 2nd Amendment.

I hope this backfires in a huge way for YETI

I saw that on their Facebook feed. It's likely to lose them a bunch of Fudds and non-2A folks, but they'll pick up all the lost YETI customers.

I only buy RTIC anyhow, and I'll certainly continue to do so given this development.

I am guessing no one here will be shipping, dropping off, or throwing away anything they already own. Way to stick it to them. Your stern emails will become fodder for jokes at future meetings and Christms parties. Carry on.

Why do you feel compelled to mock the people posting here? If you don't want to participate in the Yeti bashing, than don't.

Cabela's has been pushing their own brand of outdoor coolers for awhile now, and drawing down the numbers of Yetis. Seen it in my local Cabela's.

If I already had a YETI cooler, how would sending it back hurt them? The same way taking a sawzall to an already purchased rifle?
Don't be stupid. All sales are final, except the ones not yet or no longer made.
Otherwise Panera Bread would have a hell of a cleanup at their front door, compliments me. But as an adult I can choose to go elsewhere w/o the petty threats of the left.

I just got back into town and my wife told me about this. I sent out brief and polite emails to Cabela's, a regional outdoor store, and to Midway. Tomorrow, I will stop at a local outdoor store and make a similar request.

Let's go after the businesses who offer Yeti products to the consumer.

No it won't because those "Fudds and non-2A folks" in large part aren't their target demo to begin with. When you as a business opt to side with those who don't fish, hunt, camp, ski, or boat while turning your back on those who do (i.e. your customers), you're going to lose a lot of business. And I'll bet RTIC will only see net gains in their sales based on this move, just like all the other companies have who've refused to knuckle under to this filth.

I used it to let them know how I like their decision regarding the NRA.

I won’t be destroying any of the YETI products I currently own, but I won’t be buying any in the future.

However, I will be adding NRA and Sig Sauer stickers to the ones not already festooned with USMC stickers.

I don't own any Yeti products (and they just made sure that I won't ever) but If I did own one I might be tempted to see how it fared as a range target. Maybe even do some ballistic testing of my favorite iced-down beverage. Of course some slow-mo video of said tests would be entertaining. I suppose such an educational video might even wind up on some sort of social media sites. Wink

I agree... the RTIC cooler is every bit as nice at the Yeti, and I got mine from a sale link here for way less than the Yeti.

The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

If I owned a Yeti product that's what I would do. Throw it away. But before I did, I'd take a video of me running it over with my car and then post it on FaceBook with a little commentary about why they can shove their product where the sun doesn't shine.
Edited to add: I didn't read the entire thread before I posted this and I see some creative ways to let Yeti know about how I feel. I especially like the idea of shooting the Yeti, lol.

With regard to the argument that destroying already purchased Yeti products(and posting or otherwise publicly declaring or showing said destruction): Of course, Yeti doesn't suffer loss from something it has sold in the past. What it does lose is the perceived brand valuation and "good will" that the Yeti brand should have and that would result in future sales. That's the real result of trashing something you already purchased in protest(and replacing it with another brand).
