Dalwhinnie 15 year over an ice ball. It's my first time trying this Scotch and it's not bad. It almost reminds me a bit of Glenfiddich 18. It tastes really smooth for a 15 year Scotch.

Dalwhinnie is my favorite all-round scotch. It is the easiest to drink with various foods, but has notes and flavors that make it a great dram.

I had some John J. Bowman Virginia Bourbon with a little Pepsi while my son had some Elmer T. Lee with some Pepsi.

My son also brought me another bottle of John J. Bowman and a bottle of Orphan Barrel Barterhouse and Rhetoric, each 20 yrs old. Have any of you tasted these, and if so,what are your thoughts?

Springbank Longrow 14 Burgundy Finish. Cool



Part of their "Wood Expressions" series, this peated, cask strength whisky (56.1% ABV) is aged for eleven years in refill bourbon casks and then spends three additional years in fresh burgundy casks. It's a fantastic malt with a very unique nose and flavor.

Ayinger Oktoberfest. Definitely the best of this year's imported Oktoberfest batches.

Sadly, the local stores are almost out, and I got a late start on my Oktoberfest beer stockpiling. I have plenty of Sam Adams Octoberfest, but only a limited supply of the real German stuff.
