A little 1792 Ridgemont Reserve, I am very surprised at how much I like this.
I'd always passed over this till we stopped at the Barton distillery and did a tasting.
It's got a little more rye in the mash bill & turns out, I like that.

Sat out on the back patio for about an hour this evening and had a couple Yuengling Lagers. It made for a nice evening...

Champagne and a bottle of a Willamette Valley Pinot Noir from Archery Summit. Taking the wife out to a nice restaurant tonight.

You guys keep some excellent French wines around your home here, given your wife and visits?

I bring some back when I go, but it's not nearly often enough. So many great choices, and values.

We have quite a collection of some decent French wines built up now, with three or four that are truly excellent (ahem, very expensive, that is). We try to bring back at least two bottles each whenever we make it back there, which is at least twice a year. We also have quite a few bottles of Champagne that we brought back as well (the wife loves champagne).

The Archery Summit though that we had last night for dinner was actually a bottle given to my wife from a nice couple that she waited on at the restaurant. They told her it was the best Pinot made in Oregon, and I have to believe them because it was truly very good. Her and I would probably never spend that much money on a single bottle of wine, so it was a nice treat. (About $85 per bottle I believe)

Tonight, I'm drinking Sprite. Had a customer call and interrupt me during dinner, so now I'm fixing his servers. At least I get after hours rate to do it, so all is not lost. Smile

Old Crow.

Ever since I discovered it when living in NC, I actually like to drink it. The price is right.

Unfortunately I think it is now a Hipster thing.

Tomatin, Hacker-Pschorr Oktoberfest, Palatte Wrecker.

I was a Spec's yesterday and the 'bourbon guy' told me that there is a bourbon shortage happening now. Hipsters or whoever it be, there is a high demand.

That is Otay. More rye for Mr. K.
