George Dickel whiskey, according to the folks in Tennessee who make it, is "Tennessee Whiskey", like Jack Daniels. There is, of course, no such thing as Tennessee Whiskey as far as the US Government is concerned, and for all intents and purposes it *is* Bourbon, but they'll never admit it, and will claim the "charcoal filtering" makes it unique. However, as per federal guidelines / law it meets the legal definition of Bourbon and could be labeled and sold as such if they wanted to, but they elect not to for Tennessee pride/marketing purposes. fwiw.

Their Single Barrel is quite good, and Dickel 12 is pretty ok IMO. Better than Jack for sure.

I buy a lot of single barrel bottles from the higher rated brands. Got some John J Bowman the other day. From what I've read about it, it is an excellent bourbon.

Just became Pumpkin beer season here. Since it is downright cold here for the date, I indulged in a few. Enjoyed a Schlafley Pumpkin ale and an Ofallon brewery pumpkin spice ale.

Goes well in the crisp fall type air.

I'm going to have to check this out. I recently had Flying Dog's "The Fear" pumkin ale and Kentucky Pumpkin Barrel Ale. Both were unimpressive.

Right now I am drinking Ommegang Abbey Ale. Good stuff.

The spices are at the end , not in your face like Sam Adams Pumpkin Ale.
Nice for sitting at the RV Park around the fire.
Good color too but cloudy... The way I like it!
