Two of the three replacements have arrived. As others have mentioned, Kiddie requests return of the defective extinguishers; the directions are easy to follow, simply use the box the replacement came in and affix the shipping label. Fedex will pick up (we took ours to the Fedex station as we are a ways out of town).

Agsin, I want to thank the O.P. For making us aware of this.

The OP is also known as the guy who started this very helpful thread but still hasn't gotten his replacements!

Got my third today, awaiting four more.

I called FedEx to arrange pickup of my old bottle this afternoon, and when I gave the agent the tracking number on the return label, she immediately knew it was for Kidde, and what the procedure was. All I had to do was confirm what she already knew, as well as some special instructions we have at this address. They're supposed to pick it up tomorrow.

Easy!

Got my two. The old ones are packed and scheduled for pickup.

The new units work on the old wall mounts, very happy about that.

This may turn into a thread like the NFA wait time thread.

Considering I started the thread and was told 3-4 weeks yet I don’t have mine.

I contacted them when you first opened the thread so pushing two months for me. The FedEx agent said they've dealt with hundreds of these so I'd rest assured it'll happen sooner or later. No idea how they're prioritizing the claims, if at all.

It, the wait, may even be due to the models involved. I'm waiting for 3 different sizes up to the 240HD and a 340B.

Mine was from Nov 2 to Dec 23. I can't say if they're catching up now or falling farther behind, if Black92LX is still waiting.

Submitted info for one 1A10BC non-rechargeable and one 2A40BC rechargeable. Received one 1A10BC rechargeable unit, one 3A40BC non-rechargeable and one 3A40BC rechargeable. Guess they're having trouble keeping things straight given the quantities involved in the recall!

I called in the center on Sunday, Today 3 fire extinguishers were sitting on my front porch. Not bad considering we haven't had mail service for 2 days because of bad weather.

I've noticed that Kidde has been running a LOT of TV ads for its smoke and CO2 detectors, and fire extinguishers. Trying to make up some of the cost of the recall with a sales spike, I expect.

Got the final four last week, that makes seven and I'm all set.

Black92 may not have gotten similar timely service...

Received our new unit, it was one for under the kitchen sink. The handle is now metal vs thin polymer on the older one.
