What you are missing is that Twitter has been excrement from the very beginning of its existence.

It's possible perhaps even probable that Twitter might in the future be replaced by a similar platform, but I see no possibility that Twitter will die without an heir.

In regards to free speech, that statement is 100% correct (he's wrong about what Musk has said he wants for Twitter though). Free speech in the traditional American sense does not mean saying whatever you want whenever you. Not at all.

This came to me via Ben Shapiro. In a 2015 op-ed, Vijaya Gadde, who the brainwashed leftists at Twitter refer to as the company's "moral compass" Roll Eyes wrote the following:
quote:
"...silence healthy discourse in the name of free expression."

Shapiro rightly refers to this as an Orwellian phrase and that Gadde was simply using the word "healthy" to "smuggle in" the limits she wants on free expression. The leftists on Twitter are scared to death that other Twiiter users will be allowed to say things with which they disagree. Simple as that.

Again, tough shit, cupcake.

I’m just going to leave these here as an example of the morons of Twitter when they’re called out:

Just curious, since EM bought the company, are all the contracts with management null and void just like when a company is bought out and the wage people/union contracts no longer are in effect and must be renegotiated?
i.e. do all the Golden Parachutes fold up and allow the person in the harness go into free fall? Now that would be fitting by my estimation.

Vijaya was paid north of $16 Million last year alone. She's a piece of shit, and an absolute enemy of free speech in any sense of the word, a hired stooge with a law degree and immense influence and a serious political enemy of the Right, but is doing just fine, fucking rolling in dough, unfortunately.

The best we can hope for is that she is fired, disappears to enjoy her millions, and is never heard from again. She is a dangerous woman, policy and politics wise, and the sooner her influence is gutted the better for us all.

That is down the road to be determined. Obviously you need to retain workers and let some go. Look to mergers and acquisitions of the past. Typically top levels of managment are let go. Some middle management stays and the worker bees drone on. It is pretty anxiety arousing for those who have been through the mergers and acquisition boom in this country.

Also important to call out that the deal has been announced but not yet closed. Elon doesn't own it yet. Must pass regulatory hurdles still and also lots of legal ones too. Even a fast close can take 3-4 months for a publicly traded firm.

Usually with huge payouts given these folks generally own lots of stock and stock options and were instrumental in the merger/acquisition occurring. I've watched it for 25 years in the banking world as mergers/acquisitions occurred. Senior management at the acquired bank made out huge and moved on to other career aspirations. Lots of middle managers got canned outright as that's where the personnel 'fat' is in most mergers or acquisitions, and some of the worker bees who were in overlapping positions got culled. In a nutshell, the 'least' valuable personnel for the bank (i.e. senior management) got the biggest payout, and the most valuable personnel (i.e. middle management) got the shaft.

I will be shocked if he kept Twatter HQ in San Francisco. Let’s see how many folks want to move to Texas.
