Agreed. This is nonsense if it is about space aliens.

The world would stop dead in its tracks with proof of alien contact on earth. It would be the biggest story in the history of mankind. Does anybody think something of that magnitude would ever come out of a congressional hearing? C'mon man!

UFO has always referred to alien technology until recently. UFO and flying saucer were nearly synonymous for decades. Obviously if you break down the actual words it doesn’t specify alien but in common use for half a century that was the intent. If you just can’t identify it and you it flew by it technically a UFO or whatever the current stupid acronym is. Nobody gives a shit if these sightings are human technology. Nobody. A Chinese drone isn’t a fascinating story to anyone other than a military threat planner. Over time they have subtly altered this to sound like aliens but mean just about anything airborne that isn't readily identifiable.

Until very recently if you used the term UFO everyone knew you were talking about ET. And this entire thread is predicated on aliens. The OP isn’t jazzed about Chinese drone tech. Unless that drone tech was reverse engineered from an alien spaceship. Which is fucking laughable.

There is a clear insinuation that "aliens" are involved, or at least a deliberate effort to confuse the public....

From the hearing:

Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-FL): "the American public has a right to learn about technologies of unknown origins, non-human intelligence and unexplainable phenomena."

And:

Rep. Eric Burlison (R-MO) questioning witness David Grusch, U.S. military combat veteran and Pentagon intelligence officer: "You've said the U.S. has intact spacecraft. You said that the government has alien bodies or alien species. Have you seen the spacecraft? [...] Have you seen any of the bodies?"

"That's not something I have witnessed myself," Grusch replied. But he answered a subsequent question by stating definitively that, when it comes to UAP crash retrievals, "biologics came with some of these recoveries." Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) pushed Grusch if he meant human or non-human. "Non-human, and that was the assessment of people with direct knowledge on the program I talked to," Grusch replied.

"that was the assessment of people with direct knowledge on the program I talked to"

Seriously???
I knew a guy, who heard about it, who once worked there....
Blah, blah, blah... hearsay.
No evidence.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

If you read between the lines, what I’m trying to say is while you’re correct with the association, in reality it was the literal meaning of the term.

In my line of work it’s even more laughable when you know what a lot of them have been historically

He indicated under oath that he would be giving a list of both hostile and cooperative witnesses to those congress members after the hearing. Those would be people who have first-hand knowledge of the program, and /or are working in the program now, or have in the past. So if those people get a call from Congress or get subpoenaed to testify, then it would be one step closer to the evidence coming forward.

He also said that he gave a list of specific program names and the exact locations where these objects were stored to the inspector general of intelligence, and that he would provide the same to Congress.

I hear you Otto. The actual words clearly are very broad and include everything airborne that isn't identifiable. Common use though for the vast majority of my nearly 6 decades is little green men. lol

Still nonsense though. I agree with the above, actual proof of aliens would be the single biggest event recorded in human history.

I always liked this intro to the movie Contact. It's a bit off by I like the idea of radio waves going out into the unknown.

Sleep well,DoD says they've investigated the ufo sightings and most are easily explained.

On the DoD web link, a couple of ufo videos are posted with the explanation.

In July 2022 the Defense Department set up the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office to, among other things, identify unidentified anomalous phenomena that might pose a threat to national security and the operations of the military and federal agencies.
UAP are anything in space, in the air, on land, in the sea or under the sea that can't be identified and might pose a threat to U.S. military installations or operations.

Sean M. Kirkpatrick, director of AARO, testified today at the Senate Armed Services Committee's Subcommittee on Emerging Threats and Capabilities.

[snip]
"I should also state clearly for the record that in our research, AARO has found no credible evidence thus far of extraterrestrial activity, off-world technology, or objects that defy the known laws of physics," he said.

Yeah, the funny thing is, Kirkpatrick doesn’t have the clearances to investigate anything he’s been told about the special access programs, which is exactly how the pentagon wants it. But the ‘nothing to see here’ narrative is falling apart as the witnesses are now going directly to congress.

Witnesses of what- Hearsay? Might as well be looking into Bigfoot while we're here- There's as much "Proof" of that as UFO's.
