Took 5 today. Two false guesses with 3 letters in place.

Yesterday was 6 after getting the first 3 letters correct on the first guess. The issue was that there were so many possibilities for the next 5 guesses.

Today, got 3 letters in the first guess (1 in the right place) and solved it on my second guess.

So I'm averaging 4 guesses per word.

First time in a long time I re-used a letter already shown to be grey.
So it took 5 when it should have been 3 or 4 at worst.

3 guesses with 4 letters, trying to get the last one.

3 today on a lucky guess to eliminate a few possibilities.

Took 5 today. My 2 test words gave me 3 letters, none in the right place. I just whittled down the possibilities.

Yes.

5 today, could easily have been six as I had the middle three letters correct and two possibilities in mind.
