Was $3.69 when I filled up there last Sunday and the lines were all the way to the flooring store and backing up turning lane from Cascades or Palisades (can't remember the road name). Was going to head there today or tomorrow for my weekly refill was expecting $4 or more when I do it. Luckily my commute is only 5.3mi each way, so it's not hurting me at all. The people who it hurts are the people who live on the edge, struggling young families, people living off SS, etc. I'm sure everyone reading this right now can remember a point in their life when a flat tire or a trip to the Dr. would be devastating leaving you deciding which bill wasn't getting paid that week. Even if you're lucky enough to never have been there, you can have empathy for those that live paycheck to paycheck. This to them is like getting a flat tire every single week, eventually it's going to break some people living on the cusp. Action needs to be taken for our strategic and economic stability to ensure that we are not freezing grannies in the winter due to fuel oil costs or making kids of young families go without a meal. We need to demand a return to energy dominance and self reliance. I imagine a lot of people that voted for Biden/New Green Shit show that can't afford a Tesla are at least partially rethinking their choices at the ballot box. We can't continue to sacrifice the poor so that the rich can feel good about themselves. Electric cars and other green innovation will still take place even if we resume being the world's top producer. In fact I believe it will benefit the planet to have our eco-friendly oils produced over Russian, Iranian, and Saudi oils as we have precautions, safeguards, and standards that are completely missing in those countries. I spill a drop of diesel at work, I'm filling out paperwork for days, Russia spills 50,000 gallons, oh well thrown some snow over top of it, problem solved. Holy shit... I just got my natural gas bill for February. (I have gas heat and a gas water heater.) It was 40% higher than February 2021, despite using 10% less gas. So natural gas rates jumped ~50%!  | |||

I pretty much figured regular was going to hit $4.00/gal but I was off by a few months - thought it was going to happen by June not now. My monthly fuel cost has now increased by ~$40.00 since the beginning of this year. We haven't seen huge price spikes because our prices have been fairly high the last couple of years - it's just now, everyone else - California excluded - are catching up. ...let him who has no sword sell his robe and buy one.
