So yeah, that's great. It turns out that releasing all our emergency fuel from the Strategic Reserve didn't save Biden or your wallet. Instead, prices are expected to easily hit $5 by July 4 (but remember Joe saved you $0.16 that one time!).

I think we'll be well over $5 a gallon for regular by then, and maybe even $6, given how fast it jumped the first time and steadied, and how fast it's jumped again. $4.89 a gallon yesterday, we'll probably be over $5 by June 4th. Fuuuuuck.
The futures market doesn’t match what you’re typing:
  • July futures are $0.1266 less than today's close of RBOB
  • August futures are $0.2818 less than today's close of RBOB

If you believe what you’re typing go long on RBOB futures.

    DISCLOSURES:
  • My employer sells gasoline, and I'm still not in that portion of the business. However, I am still prohibited from buying or selling refined product, crude oil, or natural gas futures.
  • I'm still not an investment advisor.

  • Well, that’s great news. I took this picture five hours ago. $58 for about half a tank.

For anyone near a WaWa gas station, check the app. Around me if I pay though the app I save $0.15 a gallon. It’s not much but helps with my gas guzzler.

Who here remembers the lines at the gas pumps in the 1970s?

And how about that 55 mph speed limit, to save energy?

Where in Central Florida? It's $4.38 at the Altamonte Springs location (just a mile or two north of the Orlando city line).

We saw 100 cars lined up for gas when I was in high school. People sleeping on the hoods of their cars waiting in line to buy gas the next morning. Odd even gas rationing.

    Regular was $5.25 this week.

I filled my wife's Jeep up today. It was $4.69 a gallon. That's down from $4.85 a few days ago.

I'll have to fill up the gas can for the lawn tractor this week. That's gonna be almost $30!

Yep, I'd like to know which Costco this was too.

You have my sympathy V-Tail for having to use that particular Costco. My parents go there and its utter chaos. The lack of parking is amazing.

Well, I don't have to use that one, but it's about five minutes from my house. Yes, parking is usually crowded but there are always some empty places at the end of the parking lot furthest from the store, the area that borders SR 434.

Re the parking layout, I always wondered who the genius was, who made the decision to put handicapped parking about as far from the store entrance as possible. Been that way for years, but I noticed that just recently a few handicapped spots have been designated nearer the entrance. Of course, these are always occupied. Most days I don't mind hobbling in from the outer reaches of the lot, but once in a while my knees and / or hip are really aching and it would be nice to minimize the distance.

I owned C-Stores in the late 70's and early 80's. It was a hell of a ride. At times I could make more money by selling back my gas quota than selling gas.
Fights at the pumps,N.C.highway patrol coming by twice a day to check prices and lets not forget the death threats if you were out of gas.
I sold out and never looked back.
