I think I would have to see it in person. A lot would depend on the contrast as others have said.

I think I'd give the clear version of that Swatch a try if it wasn't 44mm dia. That would be too big on my wrist.

I saw the specs and was a little surprised by that and its thickness. I think the curved lugs probably make it wear smaller than its size would suggest.

I’m leaning towards the black one right now. In those wrist pics the red one looks like a cheap toy from McDonald’s.

I like the Seamasters. There’s some great options for them. I’m in love with their titanium & rose gold one. The all white one with red accents for the Tokyo Olympics (the Rising Sun) is another gorgeous watch.
I like the blacked out / stealthy one as well! It is a sharp piece!
My only concern would be the same as H2oys:
Can ya read the hands on it without having to twist and turn and contort your wrist?
If they were silver with some lume, I’d say it would be perfect. But that’s me…

I’ll let you know in about two weeks. Cool I don’t have one now but they will be changing soon. Big Grin Cool

You're probably right about them wearing smaller. I'd like to try one on. But for $150.... Wink

^^^ Same here!!!!

Let us know about the hands, if you could.

My Lt who’s deep in this rabbit hole too just returned a Glasshutte- Niiiicee watch!
He couldn’t see the hands unless it was at the proper angle, or the light hit the face just right.
I forgot what he got to replace it, but its another nice piece.

r0gue [member here] posted a Glashutte in blue, years ago. Probably in my top 5 ever posted in this thread.

After reading about lightweight/colorful watches here I saw this Reign Gage Miyota 8215 Automatic Watch on Drop (dot) com for $89. (other colors available)
Quite a deal if you check out factory prices.

I feel this post. I loved that watch. GO Senator Excellence. Getting close enough to having enough stashed in the watch fund to actually own one. There are several variations with the blue hands. I keep going back and forth between date and no date. It's a gorgeous watch regardless.

I think r0gue had a Original Sixties, if memory serves correctly.

Edit, googled. Yup, love this one
At 7k [new] it's right there with the Moonwatch in the 'maybe one day' bucket.

Z06, do you have a reign watch? I’m thinking about the white/blue one for my daughter.

I also don’t know anything about drop dot com. Are they reputable?

h2oys I don't have one of their watches but am seriously thinking of getting the black/gray one shown. As for DROP, I have been getting daily emails from them for at least 3 years, but I look at them if there is a watch featured on the first page. 99.9% of the time I delete ASAP. I have never bought anything from them before as most of the stuff they feature is computer nerd oriented i.e. keyboard key caps and computer desk 'junk' that I have no interest in. This REIGN watch is the first item that I actually am considering buying. I hope someone else on SF might have a better insight on DROP for you.

^^^ Thank you!

I’m also seriously considering one for my daughter too. Just unsure of the unknown.

update: I took a leap of faith and ordered the blue dial and white band Reign watch for $89 ($98 with tax & shipping)

I saw that Jomashop has them for $300-$400.

I will report back once it arrives.

I'm with both of you! I'll never forget that post and from then on have thought about someday getting one.

I have a grail watch. This is one I probably won’t ever achieve the joy of owning but I think a lot of the fun is in the hunt to locate one.

Yeah, this one is Rolex territory and I could source a nice preowned GMT MASTER II Pepsi for this price tag but I have wanted a Speedy for years and this one is different enough from the other Speedys that I find it unbelievably alluring.

I found a similar version for a little over $2k that is easily achievable but I know if I got that one it wouldn’t satisfy the itch for the model I really want.

That price tag…

Very nice, stick!
Reminds me of the Senna tribute, think it was a Tag, was available in yellow & red colorways. That Super Racing reminds me of that a bit.
