What is the WR (water resistance) on a Speedy? I love em but my fixation on rotating bezels and at least 100-200M of WR has kept me more or less fixated on divers because of their ability to handle anything and everything.

That said I do find the moon phase Speedmaster and the sexy as hell SuperRacing Speedy QUITE tempting.

Anything I own will never see more than about 10ft of depth.
That SuperRacing is quite nice, but it'd be a Moonwatch for me.

It's the 40mm version, but I'm looking forward to putting it to use on my workouts starting tomorrow.

Thanks for the motivation!

BTW, this is mist gray, though it may look white.

Nice!!

My Speedmaster sapphire Moon Watch is rated for 50 meters, but I doubt it’ll ever get close to that. I have my Helms and Heuer Aquaracer for wet stuff.

Speedmasters have never really been water proof. ** I think ** 50 M.
Shocking, imo! Especially under the criteria for NASA when they looking for a watch to use. There is no way I’d wear it swimming, and especially on the boat / diving! I love mine, and would really like a Dark Side of the Moon too. But not for an everyday watch.

Like you, Im a dive watch fan for EDC. My Citizen, Marathon, Helm, G-shock withstand the day-to-day beatings of my regular life as well as diving. I don’t think a Speedy would hold up.

Received the watch and have been wearing it for a couple of weeks. Overall, it has been great, although I did not like the rubber band that was supplied. First impressions were that it felt heavy compared to the apple watch, but I quickly got used to it. It is nice enough for day to day use, and I'll continue to wear it.

Also, sent a 25 year old Tag to get refurbed at the factory today. Great. Can't wait to start spending more money on watches.

Putting out feelers to the watch dealers, looking for a Jubilee bracelet for my Datejust. I think that would dress it up nicely. I’ll so contact my AD and see if they’ll sell one. It seems to be hit or miss from what I have read. Some will place the order and others say it’s not possible. Guess we will see.

Z06

I just checked Drop and it said the production run was successful and my daughters white Reign Gage Miyota 8215 watch should ship around 7/22.

Since we ordered on the same date hopefully yours will be shipped soon as well.

h2oys, I have been getting Drop emails daily for years (never have bought anything before) and for the REIGN watches they had a countdown running that kept track of the remaining number of orders needed to get the deal. When that # was reached they still had a few days left for anyone else to get in. Now they don't even show the watches in their emails. Looking forward to late July for mine as I already got a satin black SS mesh QD band for it!

So I reached out to and spoke with John Buckley (yeah, thee John Buckley) about a Jubilee Bracelet. Since I have a 116334 Datejust, he said that it can be an issue with the spring bars and whatnot trying to “Frankenstein a Jubilee bracelet to fit”. Add to that the Jubilee bracelet is $3900, I would be better off getting rid of my current Datejust and getting a newer one with the Jubilee.
Looks like I’ll just keep mine as it is.

And while I’m on the subject if Rolex…

They make the second shittiest watch box on the market. IWC makes an even shittier watch “box”, if you can even call it that. Seriously though, almost every other watch I have bought, comes in a badass watch box. Beautiful wood, nice interior, etc. Omega makes an absolutely gorgeous box. Longines, stunning box.
Drop a small fortune, or even a large fortune in a Rolex, you just get a shitty green box.
Back to the Omega box, it has all kinds of nifty little compartments, and you can even take most of it out and use it for something else.

I did catch an interview with Ed Sheeran about his watches and he said that he used his Patek Philippe box for his weed and rolling papers. That kind of cracked me up. Has to be the fanciest weed box ever.

Funky, indeed!
I’m looking forward to your review of it.

How do you like your PADI so far? Did you get the blue face, or the black?

God bless America.
