Assembled my new 550B press, loaded 450 rds of .38 spl, purchased a pound of IMR 4198 along with large and small rifle primers to reload in my 30-30 and 25-20. Received my lead rifle bullets (Meister) that I ordered in the mail for said caliber rifles. Tomorrow: Finish off a batch of 44-40.

You can store them at my place but no guarantee they will be there when you need them. David P229R 9mm, Nitron, Beavertail Frame, Night Sights, DA/SA, SRT & Short Reach Trigger

Well after a trip to the hardware store I got the pop ribbits to put the rails back on my roll a bout stowage cabinet. Then I found my already on hand box of the damn things. I loaded a 20 mm ammo can of just bullets from that thing. It will have to remain where its at I can't pick it up. Note to self, self you have enough bullets.

I put my Electric Case Feeder on my Dillon 550B. It is worth every penny, and really increases the rate of reloading. I don' think I could live without it now. It makes the 550 the total package.

Sized ~300 pieces of once-fired lapua brass in 308 win and threw them in the dry tumbler to remove the Imperial. Decapped 100 more and threw them in the stainless tumbler. They'll be sized when they come out and dry. Still have 7-800 pieces of 9, 45, 223 and 300blk from the last range trip that need decapped & tumbled.

800 rounds of 45 acp. My LNL was being a pile though with the priming system. I ran 1500 flawless rounds with it last week. Today it just didn't want to pick up the next primer with any consistency for the first 300 rounds. I'm a deplorable.

100 rounds of 45 colt 250 gr RNFP over Unique and 40 rounds 45 colt 300 gr XTP's over W296 (ouch...these sting a bit).

Picked up an 8# jug of cfe223 for $152. NO pistol powders at all in stock.

Hoping for better pharmaceuticals |
You must have a good place to get it at that price. I'm envious of that pricing. I picked up 8 lbs of AR Comp for about $200.00. That was the only new powder to arrive in the last 2 weeks. Getting shot is no achievement. Hitting your enemy is. NRA Endowment Member . NRA instructor

Verified fit, feeding, and firing of my hybrid 9mm/.38 special rounds. I'm using a bullet designed for .38/.357 (a Lee 125 grain RNFP) in 9mm, in other words. S&W M&P Pro needed a very short COL of .993 to work with this combo. Bullet is sized at .357. Using HP-38 powder, I now have powder-puff, mild, and medium loadings for this combination. All of them performed well at the range today. Now, to load up several hundred of them.

Yesterday I purchased a Citidal 1911 45 acp, She is a little shorter than a commander. It was used, but has intrigued me for some time. I did not think it would shoot very well, brought her home, loaded some mixed brass and shot her. Using mixed brass does not happen often with me, but I did not feel she deserved much better. I had to fight with the old mixed brass, changed belling die, seat die and crimp several times and had to settle for mediocre rounds. Case length and volume varied considerably. Still she shot very well, I am definitely impressed with this 1911! I decided to try her out with better brass. Today I am loading up some uniform brass, same lot etc. and was again reminded how much better life is when we start out with uniform brass. Victim No More: I am very interested in your load and how well it shoots.

Ed- Thanks for your interest. As mentioned, I'm using a Lee 125 grain RNFP in 9mm. Others on Cast Boolits forum have used it before me; I just needed to fit it to my M&P 9 Pro, which I shoot Steel Challenge with every week. The M&P's chamber is tighter than my Ruger LC9's, which I shoot this round in, sized .357 @ 1.07 COL just dandy. That gun gets 3.4 grains of HP-38 and likes it (fit, feed, and firing). The M&P, however, wouldn't go into battery with that length. A plunk test revealed that a COL of 1.00" would fit: my final COL of .993" keeps the bullet *just off* the rifling of the barrel, which slugged @ .356". So, shorter COL means different charge weights of powder. At .993" COL, Lee 125 grain RNFP sized at .357" diameter, my M&P likes: -Powder Puff is 2.8 grains HP-38 -Mild is 3.1 grains HP-38 -Medium is 3.5 grains HP-38 I did not shoot them over a chronograph, so I don't have that data. Yet. Note: With the deeper seating of this bullet, about 4.0 grains of HP-38 is going to be the max, before you run out of case volume, IMHO. Thanks again for your interest, Ed.

Absolutely. The problem has been availability. Well, that, and they are 4 hours round trip from me, and they don't carry any accurate brand powder. But when they have it, cfe223 is 152, varget is 156, and 4# WST is 67. Definitely good prices, but it helps explain why they are constantly sold out these days. Also, oddly enough, their primers aren't that cheap (20k tula with hazmat is a way better deal), and they barely stock any bullets. They did have a nice fnh over/under that I was eyeballing.. The sc1, with a gray laminate stock and 30" barrels.. Drool.. Anyone wanna buy a first generation ruger red label??

Well not today, but over the past couple days and evenings: Loaded up 50 175gr SMKs for a hopefully soon shooting session. Decided I need to build some type of raised shelf to put my scale on. Kneeling through 50 weighings of powder stinks. Sorted and polished about 1500-2K 9mm brass to cycle through the Lee. Took a recent Hi Power purchase to the range for its initial wring-out. -------------------------------------- "There are things we know. There are things we dont know.
