Stopped in at the local gun shop. Picked up some gun oil and two pounds of Ramshot Zip powder and one pound of VihtaVuori N350 powder.

Loaded 300 rounds of 45acp for BE accuracy test. MBC #2 185gr LSWC, 4.1gr of WST. OAL was determine by only a thumbnail showing which is 1.250". I did some test a couple of weeks ago to determine if I would have a leading problem at reduced loads, 4.0gr. I shot 150 rounds at this low load and had NO Leading or soot around the case. Please note that all the load manuals indicate 4.4gr as the Min. Research on BE loads led me to 3.8gr to 4.3gr. Where 90% were using 4.1gr of those using WST.

Used my new Gempro 250 scales for these. This powder meters dead on. The most deviation I had was 0.02gr. over 40 charges. Works for me. Smile

EDIT: Checked my load book. My .45 ACP load with 230gr PD FMJRN is 4.7gr WST.

Just taking a break from loading .308. 43.5gr Varget under a 185gr Berger Hybrid seated WAY out there for a .010" jump in my factory R700 chamber.

Very time consuming.. Dispense on the CM1500, weigh on the GP250, adjust the charge (a single kernel of Varget weighs ~.02gr), then pour into the drop tube. Replace the pan on the CM, replace the pan on the GP, rotate shell plate, seat, repeat.

So far it's been about 60 minutes at a leisurely pace for 46 rounds. Almost done, plan to load 80 today.

Went and sent 40 rounds downrange from the 308 today. Best group was about .4 moa. Would have been better, but I dropped the 5th shot about a quarter inch. The first 4 were one hole. I was mad.

Put 100 rounds through the old West German 226. Flawless, as expected.

Would have shot more, but I had to help a buddy with his Bushnell elite that he just bought. He was trying to get it sighted, but the zero stop fucked him (he has a 20moa rail). Had to run home and get a set of Allen wrenches for him to fix the piece of crap. For $1750 I was expecting more. Sure, it's ffp and all, but it's no Nightforce, I'll tell you that. And my Nightforce was cheaper. Sucker. Lol

Loaded 150 rounds of 9mm for the x5s (115gr MG JHP, 4.8gr HP38, 1.105", Fiocchi SPP). Then got the LNL switched over from 45s to 38 Specials.

If the weather continues to be dreary and wet I see at least another 500 rounds loaded this afternoon.

I'm a deplorable.

checked all of the local stores for Alliant reloader 17. none to be found. my long range accuracy load of 44.8 grains of RL17 yields about 2600 fps with my fav 208 grain AMAX round. time to work up loads with my hoarded powders I guess.

Yes: the shortage of powder is making us more versatile. Sometimes this is a good thing.

Loaded up some more light BE loads to test using WST again. This time I'm trying to see if these Berry's 185gr HBRN can produce an accurate load. My normal load for these are 4.8grs. These I loaded at 4.1, 4.3, and 4.4.

Ended up loading 800 rounds of 38 special. Which also turns out to be about the max capacity of one of those 3 pound Folgers cans (same capacity as 45s).

Have 1200 more 38s to reload before moving back to 9mm.

THankfully the LNL wasn't acting up on me like it was last weekend.

Don't normally do this much at once, crappy weather this weekend. Prepped 500 6x47 cases. FL sized, SS tumbled, chamfer necks. I'll prime them all yet today. Start charging, seating tomorrow. Will shoot through these in the next three weeks.

Since I was lucky enough to find an 8#er of Varget, I loaded up 125 of my 167scenar/44.5 load and also loaded 50 berger hybrids (various charges) to try.

That's a lot of money for a scale. When I hit the powerball I'm gonna get one...then hire a full-time person to reload for me.

Today I threw a lot of cases in the tumblers. Shot about 1200 rounds of 9mm over the past 3 days and a couple hundred 10mm through my G20. I need to slug it and build better ammo for it...not so accurate right now.

I hope to get out in the garage and load 40 rounds of 308 for the match this weekend that I hope will not be rained (or tornadoed) out.

<EDIT> Done. Now up to the weather.

Finally set the 550 up for production of 357 mag for the s&w's plinking appetite using Redding Pro dies. Bought a 1k MG 158 gr HP to load over 14 gr H110 and cci 550's for now, showed decent groups at shorter range. Need to get the Henry up and running when the weather finally turns into spring.
