Agony, I hope your Extremes shoot for ya. I have 115's and 124's that so far have been frustrating with the lack of consistent accuracy. I friggin' love the 115 FM plated pills from South Africa. Wicked accurate in my M&P Pro 9. Just finished installing the Apex Comp. kit with the poly trigger....GTG. The 9 Core is next, the factory trigger and its lame reset blows Smile

Bullets arrived yesterday. Mailman's statement: WTH is in this box? Lead?
Me: Yep....

Yeah, I normally will buy one box or a sample pack of bullets if I haven't tried them before but I went a little crazy and got 12k. I certainly hope they're more accurate than Berry's. I've never liked them because they are inconsistent, although they do okay with their DS 230gr 45acp in my soft-shooting loads.

Today I sized a couple thousand .223/5.56 cases that I consider throwaways for training and 3-gun.

Setup new Redding Pro Carbide 9mm dies on a spare 550 tool head and will retire the old lee setup or maybe relegate it to a 115 gr or HP setup.

Well, when you can't go back and pick up spent brass, yeah, it's throwaway.

This, lost brass matches are pretty common up here. Also finding brass in the snow is a pain so some guys use only tula or wolf brass for winter shooting.

Oh and I filled this up.

I bought a S&W mod 19 yesterday, had plenty of bullets but none of my favorite powder for 357, so I tried some 700X. Tried 3.4 gr with 158 LSWC and it worked great!

Today was maintenance day.

I took a rag and cleaned off my 5 presses that are mounted on my bench, blew off any powder flakes that were there, and lubed with grease and oil where appropriate.

I do this around every 3 months or so.

Scored 5,000 CCI Small Pistol primers for $155 OTD and no haz mat fee today.

Now if I could just stumble across some powder for cheap or just any powder. Only have about 3lbs left.

Well, today I shot the first 3-Gun of the season. I hung out for a while afterwards and picked up a shit-ton of .223/5.56, 9mm, and .40SW.

So I gained way more brass than what I lost. Smile

Got screwed twice by Xtreme bullets. Ordered four 500rd boxes of their 225gr FP 45's. When I got them in, there were three boxes of 255gr bullets....fourth box was marked 225gr like I ordered. Their CS was polite and apologized, gave me a prepaid return label for an exchange and I got the 255gr bullets packed up and dropped off at UPS.

Figured I could at least load up a few hundred of the 225's in the meantime. I open the box up and guess what was inside? 255gr bullets. Great. One or more people at Xtreme was apparently having a bad reading comprehension day. Shit happens and their CS was very polite so I won't hold it against them. But, I'd already sent off the boxes that were actually marked 255gr for exchange and didn't want to deal with CS again and wait another week for replacements. So currently working up a load for 255gr bullets in 45acp since apparently it can be done.

Made a test round and had to seat that big long 255gr bullet deep. Should be interesting at the range. I'm curious what the recoil will feel like.

Flash - with the current price of shot, and assuming one is not going to cast their own shot, is there really even an economic benefit to reloading shotshell these days??
