In the past 3 days, I turned 126 rounds into smoke and quiet.

Didn't do me a bit of good at the match today because my 100 yard zero was not where it was supposed to be.

This is from after the match, 5 shots, rapid fire. I yanked the low one. Mad

Now to deprime, tumble, and load up some more from Virgin lapua.

Also need to sort the shopping bag of brass I picked up at the local range while I was there. Someone left 20 pieces of Norma 308 brass on the ground. Odd, Norma is expensive. But it'll go in my scrap bucket.

Sounds like my day.

Somehow, my windage setting went to hell at the F-Class Team Match.

So far to hell that I fear the scope is toast.

Got to figure that out.

Don't ditch that Norma brass! Good Stuff!

What kind of scope?

And yes, I k of its good, but I'm lapua only, so 20 random pieces won't help me at all. If I had an ar10 I'd use it for plinking ammo, but semi-autos are a) inaccurate, and b) expensive to feed (compared to a bolt).

I like when I find 30-06 on the ground, or 7mag. Those big cases weigh more, and scrap pays by the pound. But 308 is still heavier than 223, so it's good. I also picked up about 150 pieces of military headstamp 9mm that will be going in the scrap bucket. Ain't nobody got time to be swaging pistol brass. Lol

Reloaded my FIRST EVER .223 rounds. Made 25 test rounds that I'll fire down range this coming week some time...

Keep us posted. I recently had an issue with my pst, I dropped it off at the local vortex dealer, they gave it to the vortex rep when he stopped in the next day, and I had it back in under a week. My issue was with the magnification ring (apparently there's a set screw that holds it to the ring inside - that had come loose).

Surprise!! Not the scope but the jerk jerking the trigger.

Don't yet know how, but it is on me.

Yep, I haven't yet figured out what went on but suspect that I was cranking the windage in the wrong direction. I didn't crank nearly enough to account for the targets though.

Sigh, just one of those days.

Chugged away on my 650 last night... prepping some 223 cases. When it's working right, man that thing is fast. My RT1200 came loose so I had to readjust that again and resize and trim the 50 or so cases I had just done. Also, the case feeder works about 95% of the time, but it does mess up every once in a while when feeding them into station 1. My Lee universal decapping die will also catch the case wrong sometimes and cause a stoppage - I had to reorder some new pins for my Dillon decapper. I'm hoping the taper on it will be a little smoother. Overall, it's quite enjoyable to crank out so many cases so fast Smile

Over the past couple of days, pulled down approx. 225 .45 ACP rounds that had been seated and crimped incorrectly on a lead cast bullet. Tossed the brass in my new vibratory tumbler with some good corn-cob media and now they're shiny new waiting for powder, a new bullet, and the correct seat and crimp.

Home with a cold resulted in 486 .45 ACP, 200 g SWC over 4,9 grains of VV N320. Still only a single stage press, now I have a cold and a sore back!

Thank you, it took me a while, but I'm the kind of guy that climbs the walls after a few hours of solitude and a runny nose. I've decided I'm going to be well tomorrow, hopefully I'm right!

Stayed home today as well, went and picked up my new rifle after loading up 100 mouse load .45 colts, 5.7 grains of N 320 under a 250 grain LNFP. These are for my second generation Colt SAA, for my ROSSI 92 lever action I increase the powder to 6.8 grains.

We went to the flea market this morning. Lots of guns and ammo for sale, and a whole lot of folks were trying to sell Federal 525 bulk. All Walmart sells is 550s, so someone must be getting supplied.

The only reloading related buy was a partial box of 7mm 175 grain Hornady. He wanted $5 for it, so I bought it. There are 40 in the box. I'm guessing they're thin skinned bullets and maybe not right for my 7mm Rem Mag, but they'll work.

Unhappy ammo seeker
