We saw it on Friday evening. I loved it! I don't do movie reviews for a living, and we just go to be entertained, but I thought it was a perfect bookend.

I have seen it. Opening day.

In the movie are various tips of the hat to past Bond movies. The DB5 scenes are in their entirety a salute to Goldfinger. Other visual cues exist.

However, the entire franchise is f’d. Totally f’d. Inexorably f’d. Permanently f’d.

For all the historicity of a Broccoli helming the production, the current seat warmer does NOT understand the franchise. Evidently.

The entire point of every 007 movie is the same. Give us all a hero, a hero of renown, a hero of eternal relevance. This movie failed so to do.

Wife and I both loved it! It might be my favorite of the Craig films. It’s almost 3 hours long but never felt slow. The whole “female Bond” thing is totally overblown IMO. She’s not a big part of the film and James directs the plot completely. Craig’s 5 film arc is really a nice bit of storytelling.

I really liked it too. It never seemed too long.

Trailer seems to have sone nice action scenes. I’ll probably watch it when free on HBO or something.

Here’s the thing. Bond is an icon to me. A character I can dream about being, faults and all. Someone i can identify with. Sight unseen, I'm pretty sure i’m not going to be identifying with the new Bond.

Btw, even as an elite superspy, isn’t it better to be some what of a grey man? In most situations, would the new bond stand out when not wanted, pragmatically speaking? Outside of Africa, how many operating spies are big black intimidating women? In a mostly Caucasian or Asian world, wouldn’t she be a little conspicuous?

I very much agree that a woman becoming the "new 007" is a very minor plot contrivance. The film even backpedals it but I won't say more as this isn't a spoiler thread. At the end of the credits appears "James Bond Will Return" -- as he always has, in various incarnations. Yes, the actor who takes over will have huge shoes to fill, but look at how many actors have already played James Bond. And Superman, Batman, Spiderman, etc.

I remember the skepticism that greeted the announcement of Craig being cast, and he blew everyone away in his Bond origin story Casino Royale. I think what will happen is that the next Bond movie will simply reset the clock, with a new Bond, M, Q, Moneypenny, etc. The female 007 in No Time to Die will be nowhere to be seen.

Finally, to me, the whole "spy" thing is irrelevant. James Bond has never been a spy or secret agent in terms of performing espionage. He's been an international policeman. (Which is how Dr. No contemptuously referred to Bond in the first ever Bond flick.)

Overall? Enjoyable.
Flaws? Yes, but it's just a movie.

Bond heads off to battle with a P226 in his hand and a bunny in his suspenders.
Excellent cinematography, lots of visual nods to the earlier films.

cable is showing Skyfall almost every night,
yet no Spectre

so, wife and I sat down one night last week and watched Spectre, (she had not seen it) then went last Sunday to see No Time To Die,

the wife, who is not a yuge 007 fan enjoyed Spectre and NTTD,

I have enjoyed the reboot with Craig, it is nice to get some of the backstory on who he is and were he came from,


and lots of 'easter eggs' for other movies,

Near the end in his lair when he was in his kimono looking robe, I thought for sure he would reveal himself as "Dr No"... that would have been a fun tie up from the 1st movie of the series to the last Craig one

I heard it's hitting streaming. I have to avoid it until Thanksgiving so we can watch it together.

I heard a female has the 007 number as Bond was retired. I don’t think that means she will be James Bond moving forward, hopefully.

We saw it yesterday. I don’t think I can talk about the movie at all without disclosing spoilers that would lessen someone’s enjoyment of the movie. Suffice to say, we both thought it was great.

Just saw it. I thought it was great. A solid installment, and a fitting tribute to DC's final outing. The dashes of wokeism are barely noticeable and hardly a hindrance. This is a James Bond movie.

Don't know exactly where the franchise will go from here, but if this is the last Bond movie I ever see, I'm content.

I have a new favorite Bond side character Paloma!

Not a bad flick, and some definite nods to the past and Aston Martin porn galore. But, I'm worried that going forward 007 will no longer be James Bond.

Yeah, Paloma was awesome. Or in Bond's own words, "Excellent."

I don't know...the end title did say, "James Bond Will Return".

The future of the franchise rests with a reboot. I has my doubts about Craig but he pulled it off.
