Snake Man: The Story of C.J.P. Ionides by Alan Wykes Book about my most favorite 20th century character. There was probably no other person who was more his own man than Ionides. __________________________ Writing the next chapter that I've been looking forward to.

Decided to re-read the Clancy books but this time having the benefit of being able to read them in timeline order rather than published order. I began reading him back in 2007 when I first started traveling for work.

Finished “Looking For Rachael Wallace” by Robert B Parker. While I like his Jesse Stone series, the Spencer books are mediocre in comparison and this book was no exception. Going to change gears and read “Presumed Innocent”, the first book by Scott Turow. I remember the movie with Harrison Ford, Brian Dennehy and Raúl Juliá and found the plot intriguing; hoping the book lives up to my expectations. ____________________________________________________________ Money may not buy happiness...but it will certainly buy a better brand of misery A man should acknowledge his losses just as gracefully as he celebrates his victories Remember, in politics it's not who you know...it's what you know about who you know

May go this route after I finish Bosch. I do know I'll skip Sum of all Fears. I remember it being an extremely tedious drag midway through. The Enemy's gate is down.

Clancy can get heavy. I want to say in this he took 14 pages to describe the nuclear explosion. Not the damage from it, just the mechanics of the bomb lighting off.

I think that was the drag I experienced. Seemingly over-technical expanse of text that didn't really add much to the story. Compared to some of the others that are solid page-turners, SoaF just didn't hold me like the others I've read. Without Remorse, Rainbow Six are the first 2 that come to mind that I really enjoyed. The Enemy's gate is down.

I've decided to add a few more older books (classics?) to my list, so I'm reading The Big Sleep by Raymond Chandler. Not bad, and some of the dialogue is hilarious. Phone's ringing, Dude.
