Just read “Killing the SS” & “Killing the Mob” by Bill O’Reilly. I also read “Killing Reagan”.

I’m no history buff, but these are easy reads and pretty damn interesting. Next up are “ Killing Kennedy” & “Killing the Killers”.

I just read the latest Longmire novel, "Tooth and Claw". This was fairly short and way out of the norm. I'm a fan, this just OK in my opinion.

Paul Schatzkin wrote a pair of interesting books. I'm sure I posted about "The Man That Mastered Gravity", a very good read. I'm just finishing "The Boy Who Invented Television", it's good, lots of history of the medium. Philo T Farnsworth was a very unique individual, he visualized television at the age of 14 while working in his family's potato field. I enjoyed this book; it did bog down at times but it's worth taking a look at.

I would recommend that you read The Hunt For Red October first. However, Without Remorse is one of my personal favorites. Cardinal of the Kremlin is also one of his best.

The first five Bosch novels are now on KindleUnlimited. I finished Black Ice and I am about to start Concrete Blonde

Without Remorse & Rainbow Six were 2 I really enjoyed.
I recall The Sum of All Fears being a very tedious read.

Hoping my local library has them, as that was going to be the next series I was going to try to start.

I have not gone through all the pages to see if this was already mentioned but currently reading - off and on - the John Rebus series by Ian Rankin. John Rebus is a Detective Inspector with the Edinburgh Scotland police, solving murders and other mysteries. Books are good, not great, but I think better than comparable series. But what I find most interesting about the books is the setting in Edinburgh.

Kind of like the Arlis Cutter series by Marc Cameron. Books are good but not great but the setting in Alaska puts them a cut above for me.

Wife is currently reading " All the Presidents Money " by James Comer. Really opens up your eyes to how crooked the entire Biden family is and how the American people are duped!

Stopped in my local library yesterday, hoping to start the Bosch series.
They had various from the series but not book 1. Put it on hold for the next time it gets turned in.

Picked up a couple of the Ender series I hadn't read.
Currently Shadows in Flight which comes after Shadow of the Giant. Short read, compared to most of the Ender series.
Next will be book 1 of the Formic War [prequel] series, Earth Unaware.

Finished In Cold Blood by Truman Capote. Interesting book about the murders of a farming family in Kansas in 1959. Granddaddy of the true crime genre. Started off very southern-gothic, with lots of flourishing language until he settled into the meat of the story. Very much a documentary novel rather than straight documentary. The Mrs. and I both read it and then watched the 1967 movie featuring Scott Wilson (Herschel from The Walking Dead) and Robert Blake as the killers; despite its age, it was pretty good and the acting was great. We plan on watching the movies Capote and Infamous, both about Truman Capote as well.

I'm following it up by reading another book on the subject, And Every Word Is True, which contains archival information that indicates there may have been another individual involved. Some fascinating details mentioned so far that weren't in Capote's book, but I haven't finished it yet.

Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. Kind of a slog. I think I’ll make it through.

Heaven by Randy Alcorn is a very scripture based, detailed view of what comes next from a Christian perspective. Long read but very interesting.

Finished Shadows in Flight. It sort of just ends, leaving quite a bit left for a later follow-up.

Started Earth Unaware last night. Only 1 chapter in.
