Just because you can, doesn't mean you should |
Looks like Ferrari turned up the boost in Q3. No real credible explanation for the gain over the rest of the weekend when no change is allowed during the session. Riccardo well but has been on it every session so far. McLaren sure screwed up Norris’ qualifying so they’ll have to try something different like go long at the first stint. This message has been edited. Aston seems on the back foot as well. Definitely surprised to see the Ferrari pace. Haven't seen if any penalties are being doled out for the pit lane obstruction, max time & yellow flag incidents. The Enemy's gate is down.

Speaking of penalties, they need to come up with a better solution to put an end to the track limits problem. Waiting for hours sometimes to find out the results of races or qualifying over this is crazy. The solution needs to be something obvious and simple. Maybe remove the outer curbs and replace the first 10 feet or so past the edge of the track with a very smooth and slick area that replicates the effect of driving on grass or gravel but doesn't cause the car to "trip". This issue didn't exist for decades and the reason for the curbing or rumble strips was the transitions causing accidents. So a smooth transition onto something that causes a spin seems like a fair, safe and simple solution to the problem. ___________________________ Avoid buying ChiCom/CCP products whenever possible.

I swear I had something for this |
LeClair is going to need a military escort out of Mexico City since Perez decided to be a dumb fuck and wrecked himself on Lap 1. I've never been a fan of Perez, but I hope this year is the last we'll see of him.

Perez would be on the verge of losing P2 if not for Hamilton’s DQ last week and he still may lose it. That and Ricciardo having a really solid weekend showing himself to be in a different league from Yuki in all aspects of the game. I don’t think the crowd was all that upset with Leclerc since he was humble and clearly not at fault at all. Perez almost looked like he was saying goodbye to the mechanics in the garage near the end of the race. He certainly should have been apologizing at least. Could have had an easy 2nd with a little more patience. Lando was outstanding after the red flag in spite of the loss of positions at the restart. If only they didn’t screw of qualifying, what might have been. ___________________________ Avoid buying ChiCom/CCP products whenever possible.

Daniel did great & probably has his eyes on that 2nd RBR seat. Yuki was running a great race until the bump Big bummer for Alfa Romeo Great recovery drive from Lando, impressive finish considering his start position. The Enemy's gate is down.

There's also a F1 documentary coming on CNBC or MSNBC, can't recall. Saw the commercials for it while watching MotoGP The Enemy's gate is down.

Friday quali, wow that weather blew in quickly. Like it turned to night. Watching SQ1, now. That was a crazy wrong place wrong time hit. Not sure I put the bla.e on Alonso, from the few replays given so far. The Enemy's gate is down.

Sprint race was actually pretty exciting.

Interlagos is one of my favorite tracks. Fast and short so traffic is more compressed. Always a threat of rain and, being toward the end of the season, more drama up and down the grid. No Brazilian drivers this year yet the fans, as usual, are pumped. Set the controls for the heart of the Sun.

The short track definitely kept it interesting. We'll see how that translates in the race tomorrow The Enemy's gate is down.

39/71 currently. Yawn. 66/71 still waiting. Other than a huge bummer of a day for any Ferrari PU teams... And a good last couple laps, very close finish for the podium On to sin city. The Enemy's gate is down.

It was decent enough, but I've long given up on a great race this year. It's nice to see Aston Martin figured out what was wrong and didn't have to rely on Alonso to carry the entire team.

Would love to know Perez thoughts for last 12-15 laps.
