This band is out of the Columbus, Ohio area. Two friends from middle school started it.

These guys are from Melbourne, Australia, and are labeled blues-rock, or “Australian rock.”

Finally, it’s Sunday. The Teskey Brothers sing Gospel too.

A while back I happened to be watching an instruction vid regarding creating bass chord progressions on YT when the fellow doing the instruction starting talking about the bassist in this 3-pc ensemble that I think is out of Houston called Khruangbin; he described their music as atmospheric lo-fi 70s new-age funk Thai-style, or something to that effect. With a description as colorful as that I figured that I just HAD to give them a try. I haven't decided if I actually like most of their music, but it does seem to take me back to the mellow funk and soul music that was popular in the 'hood back when I was in high school in the 70s. While the bass playing is quite good, the guitar work is a tad more impressive to me. Decent chill music.

Tasteful use of "sampling," blending the old Zombies' "Time of the Season." I think it sounds good.
