Another voice of renown left us yesterday at the age of 87. Connie Francis was very popular in the late '50s to mid '60s. I have only one CD of her work, which was bought after hearing this tune from early 1960.

These ladies were also two sisters and a cousin, just like The Ronettes. Best known for their hit "Chapel of Love".
I heard some time ago that this artist was invited to the White House during Gerald Ford's term. She asked Pres. Ford what his favorite Tex-Mex dish was; he replied her...to which Mrs. Ford swatted him good for that answer.
Petula was still performing up until about two years ago at age 90.
