Walsh's critique of the movie was outstanding and worth watching the whole thing. Thanks for posting.

Why should I watch an hour long analysis of a three hour long movie I'm not going to see?

To be fair you can watch it on 1.5x speed on YouTube. Shouldn't take an hour. And fast forwarding through the edge to take off another 5 minutes.

I'll stick with "The Return" by Ralph Fiennes. Pretty much under the radar but far closer to the book I read.

"Communist China Rolls Out the Red Carpet for Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’". I'll leave it at that.

Now this is an OUTSTANDING film.

It deals with the events following Odysseus’ return after his years away. The plot is very true to Homer’s vision I studied in college. Ralph Fiennes is absolutely fantastic in the lead role.

If you are a fan of the actual story of The Odyssey, this is well worth your time.

A good general critique from Drinker. He doesn't hate it but, the movie comes across as pretty unsatisfying and in many ways a disappointment given the status of the director and the budget.

So what does Emily Wilson, the feminist translator that had a big influence on the movie, think about Christopher Nolan's "The Odyssey?"
