Oddly enough, the 2 new mags drop free. Seems to have something to do with the magazine body. I swapped the springs and followers from another mag, and the same mag won't drop. Sent an email to Glock with the info and pics. Thank you, everyone..

After picking up my Gen6 Glock 19 a couple of days ago, I wanted to watch a couple of complete disassembly videos to see the differences between Gen6 and previous versions. This video also serves as a reminder of how beautifully simple these pistols are and why they have a well earned reputation for dependability and reliability. Very nice! I put the Osight SE 6 moa green on my 43x and have been very happy with it. I haven’t ran any black ops off the continent with it but so far I think it’s gonna serve me well.

Thanks, I couldn't decide which SE to get, but I figured I'd try the 2/32. I've got 30 days for an Amazon return. I'm thinking about having my non-MOS G45 slide cut by Glockstore and putting an Osight SE on it as well. This message has been edited. Last edited by: parabellum,

Yeah, for the money and for what you get, the Osight SE is hard to beat. The warranty is just as good as other “more premium/proven“ brands. The only thing with Osight is they haven’t been around as long as others. But so far, they seem to be cutting the mustard. I have fired several hundred rounds through my 43x with the SE and new OEM 15 round mags and have had no issues whatsoever.

Are the metal mag releases such as the Shield Arms incompatible with Glock metal mags? Detective came to my office today with a magazine that was stuck on the catch. Had to put it in a vice, hols the release in and beat it out with a hammer and punch. ________________ People hate you. Train like it.

I was watching a GlockStore video this morning. Starting at the 6:41 mark, Lenny talks about issues they are seeing with the new 15 round Glock metal magazines. I found his comments interesting. This may help explain why I haven't received my 15 round magazines I've had on pre-order since March. "Is This The Coolest Glock 43X Ever Made? Thanks for posting. That certainly explains the issue I had.

Wowzers!! $1700. Nearly double to cost of a regular 43X COA ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. If we got each other, and that's all we have. I will be your brother, and I'll hold your hand. You should know I'll be there for you!

Did Glock change the Coyote finish on the G19X/G43X slides at some point? I hadn't paid attention to them in a few years, but it seems like the early G19Xs had a more matte slide finish that was closer to the frame color, while the new ones I saw at a gun shop yesterday had a glossy metallic gold/bronze slide finish that was a noticeably different tone than the frame.

The new PVD finish for slides done in FDE is more of a gold tone as of early this year. Came about with the V models. ______________________________________________ "If the truth shall kill them, let them die.” Endeavoring to master the subtle art of the grapefruit spoon.

Ah. That explains it. They looked more blingy than I remembered. But apparently that's what all the cool kids want these days... I've been looking at aftermarket barrels, and nowadays it seems they're all offered in shiny silver/gold/bronze. Pandering to the Instagram generation.

I think the old finish was Cerakote. Personally not a Cerakote fan it’s dull and dry looking to me and many times it has a light texture. Some folks are better than others at applying it but it’s one of my least favorite finishes. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. I dunno, I think they look kinda cool. When I was still working at the gun store, we slide swapped one of the new 19XV slides onto my G45 frame and I liked the way it looked. The slide from my G45 would not fit onto the XV frame. I will say I think that shade of... whatever we want to call it is not particularly fitting for a representation of what was supposed to be a military contract pistol, but all the same. What the 19XV is differs significantly enough from what they sent off for testing at this point that I'm not sure it matters or anyone really cares.
Nope, PVD also, just a different color. I have one of the last 19X's from last year before they ceased production and switched over to the V models and it's both PVD and the older, more dull peanut butter colored slides. ______________________________________________ "If the truth shall kill them, let them die.” Endeavoring to master the subtle art of the grapefruit spoon.

Sold my 19X when the G45 came out. Never really cared for the color. Wish I'd waited a few months and just bought the G45. House gun. Trying to decide if I want to get the G45 slide cut for an optic or trade my COA Gen 6 G19 with another member for his COA G45.
