Yes, I emailed the address provided on Glock contact us explaining my issues, and they responded the next day.
They sent me a warranty form that I filled out and printed.
Then I sent the mag to them USPS and they will issue a replacement once they receive it.
So far, pretty damn good customer service...

Similar to what Pete said above, mine appear to be dragging around the mag catch notch. They measured 0.030 wider then both my factory 10 rounders and the Daggers in that area.

I did describe in detail with the pics I posted here.
I tend to overexplain everything just like I'm doing right now.

I also told them I felt it was the mag body because I swapped the spring and follower with one that dropped and had the same issue with the same mag body.

Just back from a range trip with my Glock 48. I ran another 50 rounds (124 grain FMJ) through the Glock/MecGar 15 rounders. They are just really nice magazines. They drop free for me (I paid more attention to this today) without issue, they are reliable, easy to fully load by hand (after the first couple mag cycles or letting them sit loaded) and their fit and finish continues to be excellent.

I have two PSA dagger mags with Glock internals that have shown to be reliable but are just "rough" in comparison.

I bought this G48 a couple years ago to act as a bespoke 10 round state gun. I basically wanted a Glock 19 slim. What I found was I REALLY LIKE THIS GUN. It shoots well and is easy to shoot well, is super easy and comfortable to carry and I just like shooting it. I found myself shooting and carrying it far more than I expected. While I really don't lose a ton of sleep over 10+1 the 15 rounders have been icing on the proverbial cake.

So at least in my G48 I have had no issues with the Glock/MecGar 15 rounders feeding or dropping free.

Just a data point for anybody researching.

Well, I didn't buy another Glock, but I did trade one Glock for another.
I met with another Sigforum member this week and traded my Gen 6 G19 COA for his Gen 6 G45 with a Trijicon RMR.
So I got rid of a Glock that would have been a safe queen and now have another Glock I'll use for HD.

Home and carry.

That constitutes a very good day.

SLR has released a slim baseplate for the new 43x/48 OEM 15rd mags. Not sure about the cost. $35 shipped for one. A new mag costs less. lol

Yeah, for whatever reason, there are no "cheap" G48/43 magazine baseplates out there. I went looking when I got the Dagger Micro magazines because while the flooplates are known to flex and then not flex any further, I wouldn't mind having something a little more solid. $35 is about the cheap end, and as you say... that's another magazine. The baseplates on the new Glock OEM mags are much more chonky than I would've expected.

Hey Glock, PSA et al.: Why is this hard? Slim baseplates that don't flex and aren't the price of a whole-ass magazine is something consumers want. Someone step up to the fucking plate on this one, please.



I picked up a Radian Ramjet for my 43X. I know, I know! AFTERMARKET PARTS. Whatever. I'm going shooting with the boys in a few hours, gonna try it out vs the stock barrel. With any luck, it'll soften up the felt recoil enough to not give me sharp, stabbing pains in my elbow with every shot.

I wonder if the flat steel P226 magazine base plates would fit. Mecgar has a rubber covered flat base plate and retention plate set in their lineup. I always assumed that the 15 round mag body was oversized.

I received my 43X mag back from Glock last week.
I think they just replaced part(s) on my original mag.
They shipped it back in the same ziplock snack bag I sent it in.
Seems to drop free now.
It was just over a 3-week turnaround.
Not bad.

I tried the flat-steel P226 mag base today on my 43X 15 rd mag.
The holes don't line up on the base plates but it does fit on the Glock mag, although with a tad of wiggle.



I can't get the P226 mag insert on the spring of the 43x because of the curvature of the spring wire.



I simply placed the P226 mag insert in place and put the baseplate on it.
It fit and was secured with a little gap.



Keep in mind I have a Grit Grip frame with their magwell.
I'm too lazy to dig the 43X frame out of the closet.



I didn't shoot the gun with the modified mag, I was just seeing if it fit.
I don't really have an issue with the stock Glock base with the Grit grips frame and magwell.

I don’t have issue with the Glock-Gar G43X mag length. That said a true flush 13 rounder would have been great.

As for the SLR pad the pictures are with a magwell so I doubt it is a $35 improvement so to speak.

All in all I very much like the Glock-Gar’s for my 48. Would I buy a flush 13 rounder or ten..yeah probably but I am in the minority of shooters who doesn’t “magazine race” (car reference. I don’t automatically need the biggest stick available.

I've thought the same thing. If they work the kinks out, I look for Glock to make a 13 round flush fit at some point.

A flush fit 13 rounder would have made more sense to be released first but the CAPACITY CHASERS would have had an absolute meltdown if the longer G43x grip didn't hold at least 15 rounds.

Looks like even a flat steel plate doesn’t make a noticeable difference. Thanks for saving me the time experimenting. I would also love to buy some 13 rounders.
