I have to have a concern to make an observation about the vast majority of gun owners? If it doesn’t apply to you why do you care?

Why do you care if an individual modifies a firearm to their own preference?
How does that CONCERN you?
It doesn't affect you or your well-being.

Freedom of choice is a wonderful thing.

I already bought a stripped Grit grips 43X frame, but was on the notify list for the assembled frames.
Got an email today that they are in stock if anyone wants one.

It’s clear that this is personal to you. The fact that you deleted your original reply and replaced it with this shows it.

Where did I say that I cared if someone modified a firearm? Earlier in this thread I mentioned installing a PROTOTYPE Apex trigger in a G6. Since that time, I’ve shot about 2000 rounds through it in personal training, three matches and a Ben Stoeger course. Even at that, I still wouldn’t carry it. Apex is a trusted name when it comes to parts. I’ve had zero issues with it. And as I said, I find it interesting that people like yourself go away from the factory gun by replacing things like the frame and jump right on not carrying it. I’ve never seen those type of mods end well. The surprising mod that got popular actually worked out was Shield mags.

I am honestly trying to put things for you as mildly as I can. There’s no need to take things personal. Especially if they don’t apply to you. My initial post didn’t quote you and if it didn’t apply why do you really care?

Nice...
Mine arrived today.

I haven't swapped parts yet.
I keep going back and forth on stripping the new 43X or buying new parts.
But then again, what good will a complete 43X frame do for me?
I know I won't sell it.

I think at a minimum I'll buy a slide lock, slide lock spring, and a mag release spring for the Grit Grips frame for about $20.
I already have a Polydat trigger, a Vickers slide stop lever, and a Vickers mag catch for the GG frame.
Then I use whatever else is needed from the new 43X.
It was going to be around $90 to purchase all new parts.
Just the locking block is $36. Eek

Does anyone have issues with 15 rd 43X mags not dropping free?
This happens in both the Glock and Grit Grips frame.
Also happens with either the stock or Vickers mag catch.

One of them drops fine, loaded or empty.
The other only drops free if I have a round or two (snap caps) in it.
When empty, it sits in the gun, and I have to give it a gentle pull to fall.

It seems the followers look like they are in different positions.
The one that is more extended drops free, the other needs a little help.
With that, the extended one looks almost too extended.
Tried a little dry lube and it didn't help.
Maybe I just need to run some rounds thru it.

No, I haven’t had any problems with dropping free. I have three of the mags and using in an early 43x frame with OEM mag catch.

Thank you, Gentlemen.
I have 2 more mags on the way from Greg Cote.
I'll see how they run and figure this out..

Those followers definitely seem to be sitting at different depths in the mag body. I'd check that lower one and make sure it's not binding up on a burr or something. It may need a touch of sanding.

Honestly, I'd just email or call Glock and tell them what's going on. They like to know what's not working when they roll out new stuff like this. "Oh, we had a batch of bad followers and it looks like you got one" could be the kind of conversation you have.

Yes, I don't want to mar the mag up by taking it apart if there is any chance of sending it back.
I'll pull some of my other 19 and 17 mags out of the safe and compare them.

Agreed, I'll see how the 2 ordered function and go from there.
Can't hurt to get Glock involved.
It's odd how one drops fine, and the other doesn't.
Thanks guys.

I would check the followers, feed lips, and tube bodies with a caliper. Probably trade followers and see if you can narrow it down to one follower or body.

I was able to pick up a Gen6 G19 yesterday. I needed another G19 like I need a hole in my head but I just couldn't resist. Big Grin It joins a Gen3, Gen4 and early Gen5.
