Yes both apples and oranges cost money, so I suppose its about appetite, and if you are willing to pay beefsteak prices for fruit.

The advantages of a G19 are getting more and more difficult to ignore. I CCW, so even more so... Gen4 G19 = fight over, I lose.

I now have 3, a 19, a 26, and a brand new 30sf that is like the love child between optimal size and firepower.

Could not be happier.

Three is a start. A real Glockster has every model, sometimes more than one. I'm on the way, but am currently satisfied with one in every caliber except .380. The 19 and 20SF are my faves -- the 19 for daily carry and the 10mm for when I get serious. The others are fun too but they hang back most of the time. Don't really know why I have 'em. Just 'cause, as my brother used to say. The .45 remains my favorite caliber but somehow it doesn't find its way on my hip anymore. There's something about that 19... There's also something about Double Tap 10 mils that makes the .45 ACPs stay in the box.

I came REALLY close to trading my 228R for a new Gen4 G17 at a local place, but instead traded a member for a P30. I really liked the 17 and all the advantages/availability of the Glock (mags, parts, simplicity, service, etc.) but in the end I thought the P30 was sexier and the right opportunity arose.

I think that Glock is on the right track with their grip issues with the Gen4s. Im sure Ill own a 9mm in the future! It aint over yet!

I CCW everyday and I feel guilty about using my SIG 239 or 229SAS. These pistols cost a ton of money and they get beat to shit. I'm adding a G19 this week. I could care less how beatup it becomes. The Glock is the AK47 of the pistol world. Ugly as hell but works every single time you need it.

I happen to think the AK47 is quite awesome looking. It's a thing of beauty. Guess that's why I own 8 AK platform guns and only 2 ARs. Or maybe I'm just sick. Big Grin
I do think the Glock is pretty ugly and that's why I have 2 Glocks and 5 Sigs. However, I will get a G21sf if and when the Gen 4 comes out.

The G19 likely won't get beat up at all. I've seen 20 years old Glocks carried every day, thrown around, beat around, kicked around and they still look good. A Sig is like a beautiful woman who must be treated lovingly like the treasure she is. You can treat a Glock anyway you want and it keeps going and going. I love both of 'em.

STOP PICKING ON GLOCKIE!!!!

What can't you like about them?

They can do anything, pick the kids up after school, call in sick for you, mow the lawn. Everybody knows they're better than Viagra. On top of all that they still fire ammo just like a lot of other pistols. Get with it. They are the "Hope and Change" handgunners have been waiting for since the metallic cartridge was invented. They store ammunition in the grip of all places and when you fire a round the spent casing is tossed out and a fresh round is deposited in the chamber, ready to fire!!! It's revolutionary!!!.

Colts, Kimbers and Sigs are what you show your friends....

Glock is what you show your enemies.

I couldn't resist chiming in with that nugget... let the flaming begin!

I wouldn't be caught dead with something like that!

So I got me a Steyr M9 instead.
'Cause: "it's like a Glock - only better - from the guy that designed the Glock"...
Just before they stopped importing it into the U.S. Frown
(but really they have excellent customer service - no shit!)

Just can't get used to that totally fruity triangle sight - whatever they put in their Knodel must've been good - the sight however stinks!
Trade anyone?

I've been keeping an eye out for the new gen 4 glock 23.

I wonder how well the dual recoil springs dampen the flip of the 40.
