I was skeptical too, but figured it was worth a gamble at $29. Fits and functions in the gun just fine. I hope to shoot it this week and see how it does. Looks like their non "blem" barrels are $69 bucks and have a disclaimer they may not function with steel case ammo. Which I dont use anyway. The cheap barrels are now sold out.

I had a 30S for a few years, but work switched to 19 Gen 5 MOS last April, so if I’m carrying a gun that size, I’ll take my duty gun. Sold it… but wanted a personal Glock again.

Sorry, can’t figure how to resize.

Was used, but unfired. Really like the rail-less dustcover and the grip. Shoots great. Sort of considering to find a 34 Gen 3 slide, just for the long slide option (maybe mill for a red dot). I do want to get a threaded barrel for when my suppressors get out of jail… and it seems threaded Glock barrels are easier to get than threaded CZ SP01 barrels.

I have a 9mm AR pistol, which takes Glock magazines… really because I carry the 19. I plan on suppressing it, as our duty ammo is 147 grain (Winchester Ranger now, but going to Speer G2), so nice to have options. Have to stock up on 17 magazines now, and convert the two that came with the P80 to Gen 5 (I actually like the orange follower, swapped them in my 24 and 33 rounders).

I don't know which thread on Sig Forum is costing me more money, but this one is probably in the top three...

Damn you Para! [shakes fist full of money at sky and yells] Big Grin

Well, Mrs CPD sig got her CCL a while back, and has taken up a larger interest in shooting. I won't talk about the fact that it's during one of the larger gun and ammo shortages in a while, but hey, better late than never! Took the Mrs out a few times with my guns, she liked the Glocks, and really took to my G-19. Took her to one of the local ranges and the G-43x fit her hand.

Well HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY!

Now, of course I can't get her a G-43x without getting myself one too... Walked across the alley to my personal "crack dealer" who works for Kiesler Police Supply and ordered up two G-43X's MOS. It took a while (about 4 months!) but I got the call that they came in, so a little Husband and Wife trip, got some coffee, a bite to eat, she wanted a pedicure, and talked me into the first one of my life... Then off to the Gun Store. They had ammo too!!! $416 for 1000 9mm, UMC 115gr. Not terribly excited about the price, but not bad for the times were in.

Already ordered a few magazines for them, now it's time for holster shopping. I already know what I want, and as soon as I get off here, time to surf the Internet for holsters for Mrs CPD SIG. Not a half bad way to spend a long afternoon with my wife! Wink

I shot the 29 dollar 9mm barrel in my G23 today. 100 rounds of mixed 124 and 115 grain ammo. Shot to point of aim and functioned perfectly. I might get a G19 recoil spring to match the barrel, but the G23 recoil spring worked fine.
Would I EDC this barrel in the G23? Nope. But for practice / plinking, so far so good!

I added an Agency Arms Drop-In Flat Faced Trigger, Ghost Rocket connecter, and Ameriglo Trooper tritium sights(I wanted the Trijicon HD-XR, but there was a significant overhang on the rear).

This gun is sweet!

I thought about an aftermarket barrel for it. No way! It shot dead balls on today. The trigger still sucks. Aftermarket trigger here I come. Then I change the sights. Then a SRO........

Nice one CPD Sig. I have been looking for either a G43x MOS or G48 MOS for a while now. Might be using one of those for my upcoming retirement job in about 8-10 months (8 months, 1 day from 8/16/21 but whose counting Big Grin ).

Give Kieslers a call

https://www.kiesler.com/contact/

They just got a shipment in last week.

Haven't shot mine yet, might hit the academy range in a few days. I'll let you know how this one shoots.

Well. I’m off to buy a used G48 with four mags, a red dot, night sights, a holster and mag carriers. I’ll see how I like it, but I’m on the fence about some Shield Arms mags. Ten rounds in a slim gun isn’t anything to sneeze at, but 15? Hmmmm…

Next up, a G45, and I should be good on Glocks for a while. Just need to buy a pile of G17 mags.

I hate the new ten day wait period nonsense our state decided would combat “gun violence.” Before, I could show my carry permit, skip the 4473 and go home with it. Now I have to drive to Bellevue and back twice and pay a $50 transfer fee because gun violence. Roll Eyes

Don't discount the Magpul Glock magazines. I have about 30 of them. All trouble free.

I sweat a lot. So i like an aggressive stipple job, and aesthetically like them bordered well. Its a clean look with functional benefits.

The guide rods allow the slide to cycle much smoother, especially with gibs sprayed on. You can tell the difference between that and a stock one by feel. I like the accuracy of the slide lock. Triggers sights and rmr on a glock are self explanatory. I dont like mos height guns. A custom cut with proper cowitness is the way to run them imo.

I tune up pretty much everything i own, because i like the way they run better that way. 1911’s. The sigs ive used over the years. The glocks need it most. Sounds like you dont like modded guns, and thats fine, but it sounds to me like you expect people to sell you top shelf stuff at cut rate prices which is as unreasonable as the folks you mention charging too much.

Id seriously recommend trying some of the stuff if you havent. The right parts in the right places make a difference. Stippling is a game changer for a plastic gun, imo.

Right. I’m excited to bring this home in about ten days.

I think I’m going to go ahead and order the 3 pack of Shield Arms mags and their release. Normally not a fan of aftermarket mags, but given the overwhelming good feedback on them, I think it’s worth a try. 15 rounds in a slim package like this? Shit, may as well.

I love how slim it is in the hand, but the texture makes me wonder. I think I'll finally try out a set of Talon Grips.

You're alright, man. I respect the arguments, and the effort you went through with the video. I respect that you specialize in putting holes in people. Today, my specialty is taking me to meet with a seventeen year old kid who's drinking mouthwash and taking mail-order drugs from China, and the objective is to try to help get him cleaned up. We live in very different worlds. I'm not completely ruling out stippling, but as often as I sell guns, I think I'd prefer to leave mine factory. If I were to go down that route, I'd have it done by a pro, and yes, the bordering makes a big difference on it not looking like a pile of ass.

To the greater point of making your gear work for you, there's not a guitar I've owned that I didn't completely gut and replace all the components with top-notch everything, so I absolutely get that. But the ones that got sold got all the factory shit re-installed before I sold them and I did better selling the primo parts separately. There's some that I own now that can't undo the things I've done to them and I know if I ever have to sell them, I'm not going to get back what I have in them because even though the components are top of the line, not everyone is going to appreciate that particular combination of them. Just some thoughts on that.

Being completely serious and not at all douchey: I think you're probably better off hanging onto that particular Glock rather than trying to sell it. Maybe part it out. You're likely not going to get back what you've got in it, and may actually have an easier time selling that Gen 5.

I have a G48 with three S15 mags and their steel mag release. I haven't fired it yet but my son-in-law put a couple of boxes through it with no issues. I can't load it by hand, but the Uplula does the job.

I am a Gen 5 Glock convert after hating Glocks for years. But I just don't like the balance of the G45 or the 19X for that matter. It's rearward heavy for me. My Gen 5 34s? Fantastic, My gen 5 19? Points like a luger. My 17? Nightstand gun with weapon mounted light. The 19X/45? Not for me.

A fullsize WML like the Surefire X-300 would change that.

Picked up my G48 yesterday. Trigger needs some work and that Burris is coming off as soon as I have time to mess with it, but I really like it already. I think I’ll stick with the factory mags for now, ten rounds isn’t bad in a pistol this size. Need to order a holster and put some rounds through it. This is definitely what I was looking for: something in between the G42 and G19 in terms of size for carry with just a t-shirt. I’m already a fan.

So, Stealthgear Mini Ventcore, Ghost connector and Tango Down slide lock lever getting ordered tonight, some work with Flitz and a dremel polishing wheel, put the original Ameriglo rear back on, and a then off to the range as soon as I get it all that done.
