Well crap. They are asking for the first three digits of the serial number as well.

Try "SFT." That was the first three of a Gen 4 G23 I used to have.

As I've said for a long time, and all throughout this thread, Glocks are the only pistols I know that illict these kinds of remarks. Fascinating:

I'm selling a Taurus PT1911 to get a Glock.

It's a conundrum of sorts:To some the 1911 is the end all but mine was the bastard child of them but still a 1911, some think teh Glock is some nonsense plastic junk an not a real gun. No matter what what I'm torquing someone off Razz

I win though in the end because feck em I'm going to be happy and I still have my West German Sig so booyah.

Forgot to add what it is I'm getting: a Gen 3 G17 from a LEO who is SWAT/Sniper and it is pretty cherry.

Yes, the one I said I'd never sell. Eek
I was only keeping it to give to my daughter when the time comes.
But she has since taken to my 9mm EMP, so I'll end up buying her one.
My son will get one of my Glocks..

......going by my own example, I'd say the P225 will elicit the same.

Bought one three times before I finally figured out it wasn't for me. Confused

Would you care to explain such a statement coming off the keyboard of someone who registered here in November? "Years"? How would you know such a thing?

Thanks for the welcome. As for glocks I want to like them but just can't make them feel comfortable in my hamds. Gen4s feel the best but not like the 228 did this weekend....can you tell I'm in love haha

I'll admit a P228 feels better in my hand.
But for functionality (is that a word?), ease of disassembly, parts cost and availability, and needs for a certain purpose, the Glock wins... Big Grin

The grip angle put me off for several years, but I easily adapted to it..
I prefer Gen1 and Gen 2 Glocks since I don't care for the finger grooves..
But even those can be removed.. Cool

Thing about guns is they are comforting and not comfortable. The pistol or grip that feels great in the gun shop or your living room might not actually shoot the best for you. You often hear said that the Glock grip angle is wrong. But that grip angle feeds off of natural insticts under real stress. Shoot a fast, moving combat course of fire and the Glock grip comes into its own realm. Bill

HK, Glock, Walther and SIG are my choice in handguns.
Weapon Shield CLP for all pistol care.
It is a hell of a lot easier to get out of jail than it is to get out of the morgue...

Longtime lurker here, and used to participate on XDtalk (first pistol was XD). Fortunately, I stumbles upon this place, sold off the XD for a p239, and have been smitten with the SIGness since then.

But, as your thread title implies, I'm pretty sure I'm about to join the ranks of Gaston's army...

Gen 2 G17 and Ruger 10/22 are both on my short list.

I can't decide which will be first. Will probably be the Ruger and then Glock a little later.

FTR, I have bought four Glocks.
