I bought a Glock 23 last August...traded it locally for a non-rail P226 straight up. Don't miss the Glock anymore and don't think I'll ever buy another one. Next pistol will most likely be a Sig Pro by the end of the summer.

Was thinking of buying the 32c with both barrels, but I hate finger grips. Any thoughts?
How do you like to shoot the compensated barrel?

I bought a G26 about six month ago. It kept me company while both my Sigs were at Grayguns getting beautified with perfection packages and shorter resets.

The last Glock I owned was a G27 and I sold it 10 years ago, never thinking I'd have the desire to buy a Glock again. The G27 had some reliability problems even after some smoothing work by a local gunsmith. In the meantime I shot friends' Glocks and was never impressed enough to think of purchasing one. In the same time frame I purchased numerous XDs, full-size and compact (now sold although I did like them and they worked perfectly fine), a few Sigs, a couple Ruger beasts, an FNP-45, and a couple 1911s.

Along with the XDs, the Rugers are now gone. I kept only 1 mil-spec 1911 which I love. I've kept 2 Sigs (226 in 357sig and 239 in 9mm), purchased and still own an HK P30 (currently residing at Grayguns where the internals are coming to terms with their new nickel-teflon coating), and - to my utter surprise - I decided trade my FNP-45 for my little G26. I've no regrets. This little G26 is fantastic, comfortable to carry, easy to shoot, perfectly reliable, and sufficiently accurate. It is a no frills gun with nothing added to it that didn't come from the factory and it needs no gunsmithing work done to it at all. I think I've come to appreciate the Glock for what it is. Whether I'll always own one, I don't know, but I wouldn't be surprised if I did.

I dislike the sensation of the finger safety, but I trimmed it down a tad with an exacto knife just enough so that when it is completely depressed, it lies flat.

At first I found the serrated trigger painful for long range sessions, so I replaced them on my G26 and G19RTF2 with smooth triggers. On my last two Glocks, however, I no longer have that issues, so I have left them with the serrated stock trigger.

I have not yet shot the 23c. I hope to accomplish that tomorrow. If I personally had any reliability concerns with my Glocks, I would not own 1, let alone a G26, G19RTF2, G19 Gen 4, and G23C.

Went over to my FFL today and picked up my G21SF's fraternal twin brother, a G20SF. Smile

Special thanks goes out to David at GoingQuiet for tracking one down for me and for the nice price he quoted.

The 20's in the holster (now that I can use the holster again, without removing the M6X from the 21)

I can not stand finger grips. Want to buy the G32c, any thoughts? Let me know what you think of it after shooting it. I agree with the serrated trigger and would likely go to a 3.5 pound trigger pull and pick up a second barrel.

Went to the range today and shot 200 rounds through Glock 19 gen4 and 250 rounds through Sig P226 E2 in .40S&W. This time, I shot the g19 better than the Sig P226 at 25 yards.

^^^ The grip texture would indicate it is a Gen 2.

Gen 2, going to put some rounds down it today, any recommendations on where to get a replacement spring kit? The only full kits I can find have captured recoil springs. Should I ditch the old setup for this?

My Glock 22 is a great tool. I keep it in the garage next to the rake.

You really need a tactical shovel, so when you're burying the body, the sunlight glinting off that thing doesn't give you away.

That really needs a pimp-shiny chromed 1911 to make a matched set.

I shot a Glock yesterday at the range with a bud and his wife. It was a very compact 9mm. I think it was a 26. His wife hated it because it didn't feel comfortable. She loved my P228 since there was enough of it to hold on to.

With the extended 10 rd. mag in the Glock 26 it fit my paw fine. I knocked down 6 plates in 7 shots with the Glock even in this small subcompact frame from 18 yds. Best with the P228 or P226 is about the same but they are full framed in comparison.

Are Glocks that much more accurate? I notice a bunch of folks shooting them in IDPA. If so, I'm considering a G17 for competitive matches. What say ye?

Damnit... Para may be right

2 years?!?! I remember looking at this when it started.

Annnyhow, I don't know that Glock is more or less accurate than any other particular pistol. What is true is that it is easier to get it much lower in the grip, having the bore essentially parallell to the support hand with current grip. Does make for fast shot-to-shot recovery.

I stuck Ghost Rockets back in mine, after trying "stock" again for awhile, and it makes a whole different animal. I've had P6s, a 239, and just got my daughter a 250. They all have great actions, accurate, etc.. When the rubber hits the road, the 19 is just far more responsive for me.

I've sold all my SIGs & Berettas & now count on a pair of Glocks for my CCW & Home Defense Weapons.

That's why I haven't been around here in a while.

Thanks for the great site Para..

You should get yourself a shiny shovel, too. It doesn't dig holes any better, but damn it looks good, ya know? Big Grin
