Whooooo! I am psyched for you. I am also super curious about the Polonium.

Thanks! I shot a Polonium on an 11.5, a Polonium K on a 14.5, and an OCM5 on a "Gordon" clone back to back to back yesterday. The OCM5 was really nice. I had been wondering if I was making a mistake on getting a full size instead of the K, but after shooting them both, I'm really glad I'm getting the full size Polonium. It was so much quieter.

How was gas on the 11.5? I was going to put off suppressors until I can escape WA, but I might just go for it with the short times. I’ve been interested in Otter Creek, as most of the internet sings their praises. I’m thinking Polonium, Hydrogen 30 K or S, and TI22. What mount are you going with?

I didn’t notice any gas whatsoever. Wind picked up a bit around that time, but I shot an AEM 3,4, and 5 next and they felt gassy compared to the Otter Creek stuff, so the wind can’t take all the credit.

I will be using Griffin taper mount muzzle devices because I have one of their taper minutes cans in jail. I picked up one of their taper mount to HUB/Bravo/Plan B/whatever adapters that I’m going to use on the Polonium so I can use either can with any of my rifles. Got two of Griffin’s linear comps and the “EZ brake” that came in the box with the Explorr. So, probably not the way most people would go with it, but it seemed to make the most sense to me. I have three 11.5” guns, plus a couple others in 16” that I’d like to be able to suppress, so it’s going to come down to what guns like what best before I just buy a bunch of muzzle devices. May get a Gate Lok adapter for the Polonium, we’ll see.

I think if I wasn’t tied into the Griffin ecosystem, I’d do a Rearden Atlas. That’s the current hot recommend online.

Explorr approved this morning. Form 1 on my PS90 denied because I somehow had the old address in line 2 of the RPQ. I re-submitted and emailed IPB with the two control numbers and stating that the requested fix had been made. Fingers crossed they choose to streamline that one.

Came home with both cans. The muzzle devices I ordered are too long for the Polonium's blast chamber, so I have to order the long adapter. Not thrilled about that, but whatever.

I submitted my eForm application for a Mojave 9 on Tuesday afternoon and received notification that it was approved this morning (Thursday)!!! Should pair nicely with my 9mm SBRs!

Quite a few guide videos on YouTube. It may be easier to narrow it down to something like suppressor purchase or building an SBR.

NFATalk.org is a great reference if you can filter out some off-topic BS. The culture is very much like the old 4chan. You will see some offensive stuff if you wander into the general discussion areas.

Otherwise, what do you want to do? Start a thread here, others may have similar questions.

231 days since I submitted for my Wolfman via an eform trust... Frown

I'll be submitting a new eForm 1 for an SBR (also trust) in a few weeks. Hopefully, that one will be much quicker.

I'll bet if you email IPB@ATF.gov, you'll get some help and have that can soon.

On that note, I emailed them Monday about my denial last Monday because of an old address sneaking into the paperwork. I politely explained that I'd make the requested fix and resubmitted it, but had a sneaking suspicion that my NICS check was delayed, because... well, they've all been delayed and I'd just had to involve my congressman in resolving four of them, including the very one I'd resubmitted. I asked for confirmation on whether this was the case or not so I could go through this process again with the FBI. Ten minutes later, I had an email reply that said I guessed right, NICS delayed me, but not to worry about it because they just copied the proceed from last week onto the new one and sent it to the examiner queue. So hopefully, I'll be doing a barrel swap on my PS90 some time in the next few weeks. I have everything I need to mount my Griffin Explorr on it, so I'll get to shoot it suppressed basically right off the bat.

I'm not a fan of the bureaucrats at the top and the things they choose to pursue, but my interactions with approaching the examiners directly has been very positive. As for the FBI, well... I was on the fence before, but clearly it's time to get a UPIN. I'm 9/9 NFA NICS delays and there isn't a legal mechanism that compels the issue the way standard firearm transfer checks have, so they can and do just sit unresolved for months at a whack.

Sent. Even though I keep getting mixed responses from them over email and the phone over the past year or two on whether or not they even give status updates at all, it couldn't hurt to try again!

(I'm going to be SO pissed if they are waiting on the FBI for the NICS check YET AGAIN)

Update: Called NICS for the hell of it- same answer as last time. They don't give updates anymore. She said normal firearms purchases have priorities, then NFA-ATF checks. She also said she's knows some people at the 2 year marking waiting for this. Mad Honestly, I can't figure out if the issues are that I'm getting delayed, or I just keep ending up at the bottom of the pile.

I asked IPB if I was delayed and they were happy to confirm that three different times. Phone call was a waste of time, I could’ve gotten just as much help from a Walmart greeter, and they would’ve been happier to talk to me. When I was at your current juncture, I took it to my congressional representative. Hopefully you have a good one. I got lucky that I have a “Freedom Caucus MAGA hardliner sub-group” representative.

That an FBI/NICS employee outright told you some people have been delayed for over two years on a NFA NICS check makes my fucking blood boil. Un. Real. Mad

Okay, so I got an e-mail at 3:00am that one of my SBRs was approved; I had 3 in process. So that's 261 days on just 1 of the 3 Form 1s.

Just got the email, my trust Form 1 on my PS90 is approved. Filed April 2nd, NICS delayed and stonewalled until my congressman got after them, denied 4/29 because of an old address in the RPQ. Re-filed 4/29 an hour later, delayed by NICS a second time, emailed and bypassed that with the prior proceed 5/6, approved 5/15.

Need that UPIN. I’m jumping through way more hoops than anyone else I’m seeing. That’s not even getting into all the emails and phone calls.

Time to drill out that blind pin….

And my first suppressor just came through. Whoa, as I'm typing, my second came through. Woohoo!

Edited to add: Everything from my first 2 batches has come through, so I'm just waiting on the 10/18/23 Form 4s to come through.

Edited to add: The final batch just came through. All set!

Now to add some more!

Filled out paperwork for a Rugged Alaskan in February on a trust, received the stamp today. Took advantage of the free tax stamp offered at the time.

So 3-3.5 months. I'll take it since the last ones before took around 10 months each.
