I still barely know my way around. I don't know how to put things in a signature line like OBS#, ECA#, etc. Don't know how to add pictures...

Uh-Oh...Little Correction Necessary...
The Black Super Karambits will not be in stock for a couple of weeks. They only had 4-5 BSK's and the system adjusted prematurely. They only have Stonewashed and Safety Orange right now.

So, did you know that from being on a waitlist and receiving notification? I ask because I am on the waitlist for a number of products, but didn't have this one flagged.

Also, do you Czechvar or Snwghst have a Cove membership? I'm just wondering what the usual fare is in the auctions/sales in there and whether it is important to get in there now or if it is ok to wait a while...

I got an email about the Black Karambits Friday at 4:08PM...I ordered one Sunday morning. I called them this afternoon and spoke with the guy who answers sometimes...He clarified the issue. He checked my order and said I was one of the lucky ones who snagged one. I guess they were a small batch they made for some reason. They had planned to save them for the main release but had an inventory glitch.

No Cove membership here...and I only have 4 posts. I'm still on trial... Smile

I've looked at the 4 membership options, and I just haven't decided what to do about it. If the only benefit of having the Basic membership is getting the Search Function, I might get that. Since I've never sold anything here or anywhere else, I can't really see the $35+ a year for the Cove.

If I'm understanding you correctly the email came from Emerson in response to being on the waitlist. If so I'm encouraged, because they have had some very understandable problems with their revised webpage. I've yet to get an email on any of my waitlisted items. (not saying I haven't received one that I know I should have. I can't monitor the site that close. I just haven't received one)

Clearly the website functioning at the other site favors paying for the basic membership, as not being able to search the site is a significant rate limiting step.

I understand the Cove to be a place to sell, which I'm unlikely to do as well. I just wonder about how much buying opportunity activity there is and of what sort. If it is mostly the >$1K knives then this isn't the place for me right now. If it is the place where a lot of the regular knives, $150-350 turn over then it could be helpful to find some things on the shopping list.

I have 9 posts and still in Trial status

Can't say I've really looked at pros or cons of Cove levels yet

The Waitlist email system has been working fine for me. I've received maybe 4 or 5 alerts...And I know it's correct because I've been checking the site daily for the Super Karambits and a few others. I also called a few times to check timelines. It's been accurate for me.

I just don't understand why these haven't sold out yet. They only made 10. Mine will be here tomorrow...I really like the version...Might be the Stonewashed finish, I think the Karambits sell well in black...Yea! It arrived in Minneapolis 20 minutes ago from Harbor City...

I expect it is due to a number of varied reasons.

I think I've decided to use my certificate on a bullnose karambit. I'm trying to decide stonewashed versus black. With the amount of use I would then intend the blade to have I'm thinking the stonewashed, but I haven't completely decided.

There are five of your orange Karambits left. I spoke with Ann today (who was very helpful) and ordered mine stonewashed as a bullnose. She looked at her sheet and gave me a few updates. No timeline for Gypsy Jack to get back into available status. The 14s will be back by the end of the month.

I've decided (Subject to change) that my favorite conventional tactical Emerson is my Jungle Commander...I have it on me most of the time.

Equally, I love these Karambits. I carry the Combat Karambit nearly as much. It's so different that I don't regard it as a conventional knife.

Good choice. Post pics and a review once you have it?

I don't spend a lot of time in the classifieds, so I didn't realize how many Emersons had been coming up there. I would think one looking to sell a blade would look in this section of Sf to see if there are interested parties to alert to a sale.

The Orange Super Karambit just arrived...And it is huge and it is Orange. It does look awesome in person, better than the pictures...I like it a lot...When the Black SK comes Friday I'll get pics with the Combat Karambit and La Griffes for size comparison.

It's still hot from the UPS truck ride...And no Golden Ace yet. Razz
