Ben Shapiro: "So Disney's business plan is now radical activists > (greater than) parents. Let's see how well it works out for them."

I'm with Ben. Lets see indeed although I doubt that everyone angry will do much of anything and they will continue to support the many faces of Disney: ie, watch ABC news, ESPN, Marvel, etc etc, and I'll try the veal with the potatoes.

You’re the attorney and I’m sure that you have a better idea than me, but I was thinking they’d pile on the paper and make it more expensive than that if one fought it and didn’t just roll over at their first letter.

If you don't think Trump had a huge impact on some politicians, go back and watch video of DeSantis as a US House member. That person is not even close to the man we see today. I think DeSantis saw what Trump did, how he manhandled the media and pushed an agenda that appealed to middle class voters, and opted to change his approach to emulate the same. And though I like and support Trump, DeSantis is a bit more tactful and focused in his approaches. This should be a case study for other politicians to learn from in how to stand for something that voters actually care about, and that standing up strong for things actually win you support and votes. Most of the GOP could learn a lesson from DeSantis, but unfortunately, many of them are cowards and no different than Dem's when the rubber meets the road.

Pretty good song.

Back to Disney, I had very, very little to no interest in Disney stuff as a child. I have absolutely no interest in Disney as an adult.

Stop buying their shit. Let them die.

So I just thought of this, this morning, Disney has the will and the money to have this law repealed/over turned but they have not paid a dividend to their stock holders in almost two years.

They also think they as a company speak for all of their share holders, but they don't. So what gives them the authority to spend share holder money to fight this law.

Their stock has dropped quit a bit in the last year, not sure if this is going to help or hurt the stock price.

Disney stopped paying stock dividends to preserve cash during the shut down and the loss of business during the pandemic. Now all of a sudden they have cash to fight this law with?

And lets see what happens with the Reedy Creek Improvement district.

Yes to Disney it would be you are correct. Most people including people around the Disney area have no idea how involved the two are.

Reedy Creek provide almost everything a municipal government provides to a big city or small town.

Clearly their board of directors are empowered to give their senior executives the 'green-light' to proceed with woke projects and make changes. One of their brands, ESPN, under former President John Skipper was on the 'woke' bandwagon for nearly 10-years, introducing controversial hosts and encouraging 'woke' language, positions and attitudes amongst their personalities and shows. Things have calmed down with new CEO James Pitaro however, the woke stench remains; see Marvel Entertainment and LucasFilm.

Let them go woke, let them push a genderless aesexual trans agenda on children. Let them suffer as families stop watching and stop paying. Normal middle American families do not want this agenda, they just want entertainment.

I never liked Disney in general, even as a kid. Disney World was a big disappointment compared to Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, IL. G.A. was all Warner Brothers characters and it had awesome rides and was fun - Road Runner, Coyote, Bugs Bunny, the Martian, etc. Disney sucked in comparison, long lines, shitty rides, excessive commercial tie-ins, etc.

Pixar was good when my son was little. Not sure about it now, haven't paid close attention since 2016 or so. They have Star Wars but they are doing their best to fuck up a sure thing.

So, Abigail Disney isn't a significant shareholder and apart from being deeply unattractive and liberal, cant really force the company to do anything. She seems to think all of Disney agrees with her.

In any case, Disney is dead to me. Don't and wont subscribe to their channel, hold or buy their stock (it may be in some ETF I hold but hopefully not) or listen to Abigail rant.
