How long before this takes effect, or will it be like Brexit and take years to implement?

I follow Reedy Creek FD's local on Facebook. They've been talking about how they're short staffed for a while now. So maybe things will actually improve in that regard.

Are you sure it's even as high as 80?

I like it. Close Disney. Build another Villages and bring in the retirement dollars. I’m gonna spend my life saving in Florida in a few years. Just make sure they build a few more Shooters Worlds.

These go to eleven.

Maybe Disney could buy Epstein’s island.
Make it a Disney cruise destination as well.
The possibilities are endless.

We went to Disney many years ago and my wife and a couple of her girl friends would go over every year or so BUT, a few years ago they realized Disney had changed and not for the better. They no longer go, and, in fact, I don't know a single family in my Church or from my former work place or in my neighborhood or that I am acquainted with that EVER goes there.

They are just dead to us, I guess. Good!

The Governor of Colorado does.

Colorado Gov. Polis offers Mickey Mouse ‘asylum’ as he urges Disney to leave Florida

Will the Magic Kingdom leave the swamplands of Florida for the clean, cool air of the Rocky Mountains?

"Colorado Gov. Jared Polis is openly lobbying The Walt Disney Co. to relocate its theme park from Orlando to his state over what he calls “authoritarian socialist attacks” from the Republican Party..."

Colorado has nice weather from June/July to September.

Don’t think so ….

Does anyone here really understand the cost of moving something like Disney World to a new location? I don't think Disney would even contemplate doing it--much cheaper to just follow whatever laws Florida passes.

Orlando had a population of 50,000 in the 1950’s.
There is a reason Disney is referred to as Mauschwitz. Rhymes with Auschwitz.

Yup. We aren’t talking about one park. It’s multiple parks, infrastructure and numerous resorts. I didn’t read the article but is Colorado offering the autonomous government Disney had in Florida? If not it’s meaningless.
