That’s it? Dishonest and misleading memo wrecked the House intel committee, destroyed trust with Intelligence Community, damaged relationship with FISA court, and inexcusably exposed classified investigation of an American citizen. For what? DOJ & FBI must keep doing their jobs.

For a while, I have believed he is literally detached from reality. This confirms it.

Comey is delusional. He is directly implicated and he says, that's it? That's all you got? Eek

I don't think the Mueller investigation will go away. As a matter of fact, I think he will indict the President on "Obstruction of Justice" charges as a way of trying to save face.

I will say that this memo sure questions the credibility of anything coming out of the Mueller investigation.

There have to be some severe penalties for officers of the court and law enforcement officials misleading a judge. Of course this judge could just be an Obama appointee. I would bet that is the case.

There is a lengthy article on wikipedia about FISA court, who is on it, how they are appointed by the Chief Justice for one year terms, some of the procedural stuff and issues, found here.

Question....Now that this memo is out and it appears everything regarding the basis of the Mueller investigation was/is a complete sham (and illegally obtained), why would Trumps lawyers even allow him to be interviewed by Mueller? Without that interview, this ridiculous 'investigation' is over.

Here is your answer: AG Sessions in wake of explosive memo: ‘No department is perfect’ Mad Roll Eyes

https://www.washingtontimes.co...-department-perfect/

Attorney General Jeff Sessions said Friday that he will push the Justice Department to clean up any shortcomings identified in the wake of the new House intelligence committee memo, saying “no department is perfect.”

Mr. Sessions, in a statement, did not say whether he agreed with the conclusions in the memo, which argues top FBI and Justice Department officials during the Obama administration, bleeding into the Trump administration, used tainted evidence to justify spying on a Trump campaign figure.

Instead, Mr. Sessions said Congress’s questions are legitimate and must be answered.

“Congress has made inquiries concerning an issue of great importance for the country and concerns have been raised about the department’s performance. I have great confidence in the men and women of this Department. But no department is perfect,” Mr. Sessions, a former senator, said.

“Accordingly, I will forward to appropriate DOJ components all information I receive from Congress regarding this. I am determined that we will fully and fairly ascertain the truth,” he said.

Mr. Sessions’ top lieutenant, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, was one of those implicated in questionable behavior in the new memo. House intelligence committee Chairman Devin Nunes, author of the memo, concluded that Mr. Rosenstein was one of those who signed off on an application for a warrant justifying the surveillance of Trump advisor Carter Page.

Similar applications for spying authority were also signed by then-FBI Director James Comey, former Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, then-Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates and then-acting Deputy Attorney General Dana Boente.

I would love to see heads roll over this, but like you, I doubt we'll see it happen. Should have been done already in my opinion.

I want to see some these bozos in front of a Congressional Committee. Often committee hearings are more about talking points, narratives and grandstanding commentary, but I definitely want these hacks to squirm, plead the fifth, whatever; but get it all into the open!

The bombshell is the deliberate concealment and mis-representation of the Steele dossier to the FISA court to obtain and renew the warrants to surveil US citizens!

Buckle up (Dem) buttercups, this party is just getting started!

The bombshell is perjury before a Federal Court, committing fraud upon the court. Deliberate abridging of the 4th Amendment rights of Trump and others and political spying on an opponent where there is no compelling evidence to do so. And all at the behest of a political campaign.

A lot of truth in this statement. It should be Sessions that removes Rosenstein but he will sit on his hands and force Trump to be the one to force the issue, making it political dynamite. If that happens and Trump refuses to be interviewed, and he should refuse, the left can turn this into a shit storm that paints the administration in a very dark light.

That all sounds well and good, but until indictments start getting handed down this is all politics. The truth is good, but without penalty it will happen again and again. Because they know nothing will happen.

This is a ... "you got to be shitting me tweet". Classic back paddling pond water.

So all those Strozk & Page memos about destroying evidence, getting other phones to avoid FBI scrutiny and rules, the "Secret Society" were all just Frat Pranks? At least he makes it official that he is Hillary's shill. I assume there is a healthy payday in there like McCabe got.

And how does Peter Strozk afford uber expensive Lawyer to all the Dem criminals, David Boies, on an FBI salary?

I would much rather see him do his job, keeping his mouth shut about what he, or they are doing.

His position is much better served by keeping potential bad guys from knowing that the train is fast approaching and they are standing on the tracks.

Far too many people at those high levels do not know how to keep their mouths shut! Leak shit to the media about what a great job you are doing, and let the bad guys head for some dump country with no extradition treaty. Yeah, smart. Roll Eyes
