Does anyone know Jim Shugart personally? Last Fall I noticed Jim was not posting so I emailed him. It took awhile to get a reply in which he said he had a terminal illness and that he chose not to announce it on SigForum. Over the years Jim and I corresponded via email. I never met him in person. He was a funny and kind man here, his screen name is Jim Shugart and his CUT is "Drug Dealer", he was a retired Pharmacist. An online search found his name and age and sort of an obituary, all it was a sentence or 2 that he lived and died. No other details except he was cremated. Based on various things I'm 99% sure he passed away. Does anyone know him in the Richmond VA area? I recall when someone posted member ColoradoHunter44 died in a plane crash. This was not true, his CUT is "Rumors Of My Death Are Greatly Exaggerated. For this reason I'm asking if anyone may be able to verify. .

Yes, Godspeed, Jim. "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor

I remember he had a Standard Poodle, “Merlot” that he mentioned in his posts. I was always happy to see a post by Jim, who usually provided a laugh. Condolences to his family.

Yes, Jim was always a gentleman here. I didn't know him, but I had a lot of respect for him and the way he conducted himself on this forum. I am very sorry to hear of his passing. I pray that he is in Heaven, knowing a joy that is unimaginable to us. .
