I was just thinking about him yesterday and that I hadn't seen him post in awhile.

Been wondering about Flashguy as well lately.

Godspeed Jim, and thanks for all you added to this community over the years, and in real life I’m sure, as well.

From what I knew of his character and personality here, it would have been gratifying to know him in real life. I think about the members of SIGforum who have passed over the years, people I would otherwise not known existed. It makes glad I chanced upon this forum 17 years ago.

A salute to Jim. May God keep him close.

I'm sorry to hear this. I enjoyed Jim's humor and like others, remember the his love for Merlot, his standard poodle. Thoughts and prayers with you, Jim.

He loved Merlot and his humor made him so very likable. Prayers for him and everyone he left behind.

I'm sad to hear of Jim's passing, I would have enjoyed meeting him. He was one I made a point to open threads he had started or replied to.

Jim seemed like a good guy. His jokes could be real stinkers sometimes Big Grin but I really liked his posts.
I would often see the subject line and know Jim Shugart posted it.

My condolences to the Shugart family and friends.

Very sad to hear this.
Jim's sense of humor was such, that you never knew what you were going to get when you opened one of his posts, but you still opened it anyway.

Sorry to hear of this possibility. I have not talked with Jim since last year. His phone just leaves a message that he is not available. He was always free with pharmacist advice.
I enjoyed his Merlot stories and that the fact they are together again that is good news for both.

Sad news indeed. I never had any interaction with him. But based on kind words from other members, he seemed like a well liked person. RIP sir.

Makes me wonder sometimes what happen if we pass, and no one noticed? My son is not interested in the same hobby as me. What will happen when I pass? How will my fellow members be notified (if no one noticed). Frown
