Dude, really? Oil prices are based entirely on speculation, and any turmoil in the supply chain jacks the prices up. Nobody needs to explain it, because anybody with 2 brain cells to rub together already knows how it works.

While correct, regarding the comprehension of world economics and the Theory of Oil Speculation, that's a fairly narrow viewpoint.

The average Joe likely doesn't understand all the complications of a world oil market and the people who are bidding up prices and profiteering off the instability worldwide.

Their is a good many that live outside the political comprehension and information exchange that a member of SF or X has daily.

Many who don't live their lives in world politics, look at the price of bread, milk, cheerios and gas, good or bad, whomever is in charge is the hero or goat. $5 gas means a change is coming, and we know midterms almost always result in a change.

You can bet that China and Iran are working to keep this going as long as they can into the midterm elections. Keeping speculation prices up to try and neuter Trumps ability to perform for the next two years.

Flip the house D and impeach, impeach impeach is all we will hear. We know international interference is a problem, without the SAVE act, VA redistricting out several R seats to D, it's going to be very very tight.

I seriously doubt the ability of the Average voter to have any comprehension level of the total situation happening in USA politics outside of now knowing who Swalwell is and that he's a man whore.

Chinese ships appear to be exempt from the blockade, based on the early reporting. I understand not wanting to draw the Chinese into the conflict, but that's a major source of income to Iran that we are not shutting off.

So according to the WSJ we are now asking Iran to delay enrichment for 20 years. Thought I was hearing things on the drive home, but apparently its correct.

Trump: Iran Talks Possible Within 2 Days in Pakistan

President Donald Trump said Tuesday that new U.S.-Iran peace talks could take place within days in Pakistan, signaling a possible restart of negotiations after recent high-level meetings ended without a breakthrough.

“You should stay there, really, because something could be happening over the next two days,” Trump told the New York Post. “We’re more inclined to go there.”

Trump pointed to his relationship with Pakistan’s Field Marshal Gen. Asim Munir as a key reason for choosing Islamabad as a potential venue.

“He’s fantastic ... the field marshal is doing a great job,” Trump said, adding, “Why should we go to some country that has nothing to do with it?”

Reuters also reported that U.S. and Iranian negotiating teams could return to Islamabad as early as later this week, though no final date has been set. Pakistan is reportedly coordinating with both sides on timing, with another round of talks likely over the weekend.

The recent meeting in Pakistan’s capital marked the first direct talks between U.S. and Iranian officials in more than a decade, and the highest-level engagement since Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Despite renewed contact, major differences remain.

According to reports, Iran has offered to suspend uranium enrichment for up to five years, but the Trump administration rejected the proposal, citing concerns over the duration and terms of any agreement. The U.S. called for a much longer suspension of about 20 years.

Both sides have exchanged proposals, but officials say a significant gap still exists as efforts continue to revive negotiations.

The Chinese ships are going to other Arab states. Ports to Iran are blocked.

Trump did say so much a couple of days ago, that hopefully another president would be strong enough to attack them at a later date.

"Trump told reporters in the Oval Office on Tuesday, "They will have no nuclear weapon, and that goal has been attained. They will not have nuclear weapons."

But later at that same event, he hinted that another president may have to come back to the issue in the future.

"They will not be able to do a nuclear weapon for years, and when they already may be, in a long time from now, able to do a nuclear weapon, you'll have a president that will be like me, and that he will go there and he'll knock the hell out of them again, because they cannot have a nuclear weapon," Trump said."

For those interested in an informed, rational perspective, take the few minutes to listen carefully to what Hanson has to say. Anyone who makes outrageous claims that Iran has outmaneuvered us, this is not for you. Just hold on to your fantasy.

Hanson says that, unchecked, and with the aid of North Korea, Iran could have had in two to three years, ICBMs capable of reaching (a portion of) the United States. The Soviets were never a threat like Iran, because the Russians are not psychopathic religious fanatics who think paradise awaits them after they commit mass murder.

I don’t get it either but those people aren’t isolated. My wife basically said very similar things. I started to explain the big picture, quickly realized I might be venturing into that “you think you know everything” zone and backed off the explain. She’s pretty conservative but like many, not necessarily well read. But she does put up with me so I’m keeping her. lol.

Or "the Iranians are psychopathic religious fanatics who think paradise awaits them after they commit mass murder"

This basic statement is all anyone really needs to understand our actions regarding Iran. Even NK's Lil Kim, as weird as that guy seems, isn't in this same category.

When the Russians tried to put missiles 90 miles off our coast in Cuba, that was the equivalent, even though that only gave them the capability, not the irrational intent. Nobody has ever questioned Kennedy's need to act in that case.

Yes, great video, everyone here should watch it, share it with others

Hanson says in regards to the Democrats, RINOs and media- "...they don't look at the war empirically, they look at it entirely in political terms" and it is the most accurate statement on those who oppose and criticize this war. Again, great video.

Here's some more of that brilliant "outmaneuvering" of the United States by the savvy Iranians. We cannot possibly win, when faced by such fantastic genius. They think of everything. Roll Eyes
