I'd bet a majority of Trump's support comes from the people who sat home in 2012 and from those who held their noses. Those are the people who will get the GOP across the goal line. Romney was horrible, but we keep hearing if they came out he would have won in 2012. They are engaged in the race and I doubt they walk away if Cruz gets it. I'd be happy with either of them and believe most conservatives would be as well.

I'm afraid the traditional GOP would rather see the Dems win than Trump/Cruz. I think if the Dems win, the traditional GOP also wins, but if Trump/Cruz win, then the GOP loses. I do believe it's going to take a Trump/Cruz win to save this country.

more or less... what's certainly true is that the establishment GOP is *not* the solution nor our savior in any meaningful way. they are as much the problem as the GDCs.

Actually, we're both getting ahead of ourselves. We'll see in the coming months if the rest of the traditional GOP support will fall in line. It'll be interesting to see poll numbers after this weekend. __________________________ They keep saying they just want "sensible gun laws" but they hold up countries where they are banned and confiscated as their ideal. According to the Vegas odds makers, it will still be Jeb v. Hillary. "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor

The political class establishment does not get it. They think this election is issue drive in the sense that Trump holds some views not popular with the conservative base. That political class doesn't understand that we out here in flyover country are angry and tired of them. We don't care if Trump or Cruz hold some views that we disagree with. We want someone outside of the current entrenched entitled political establishment types that "generally" agree with us on most but not all issues. The establishment is failing to recognize what is driving us... to their own peril. It's about "out with the old, in with the new." ____________________________________________________ New and improved super concentrated me: Proud rebel, heretic, and Oneness Apostolic Pentecostal. The typical politician won't get it until a guillotine blade is coming for their neck, and even then, I bet most wouldn't get it. This space intentionally left blank.

The headline on Drudge is that "Hillary already has the votes." If Jeb too "already has the votes" I won't vote for him. But it's a long way away. The story could be bogus. I'm still rooting for Trump, with high hopes for a ticket with Cruz. ______________________________________________________ "You get much farther with a kind word and a gun than with a kind word alone."

All things are possible, but how would Drudge (or anyone else) know who's "got the votes" in primary elections that will begin well over five months from now and that will run deep into the fall of next year? And if Drudge (or anyone else) can predict what will happen on the Super Tuesday coming in March 2016, why isn't he in Vegas making stupid money instead of hammering away at a keyboard?

Yes, but it is bogus. No one is truly committed yet. She wants to scare off Biden, try to keep him out of the race. Hillary already claims she has the nomination. Politico reported: As Hillary Clinton’s campaign seeks to project dominance in a field that could soon include Vice President Joe Biden, her top advisers are touting a decisive edge on a little-discussed metric: superdelegate commitments. At the Democratic National Committee meeting in Minneapolis, where she will speak Friday, senior Clinton campaign officials are claiming that she has already secured one-fifth of the pledges needed to win the Democratic presidential nomination. They come from current and former elected officials, committee officeholders, and other party dignitaries. The campaign says that Clinton currently has about 130 superdelegates publicly backing her, but a person familiar with recent conversations in Minneapolis said that officials are telling supporters and the undecided in the last few days that private commitments increase that number to more than 440—about 20 percent of the number of delegates she would need to secure the nomination. Clinton campaign aides at the DNC meeting are privately briefing uncommitted superdelegates there on their mounting totals as a way to coax them to get them aboard the Clinton train now. Campaign manager Robby Mook, chief administrative officer Charlie Baker, political director Amanda Renteria, and state campaigns and political engagement director Marlon Marshall are among top Clinton aides in attendance. Final numbers are still in flux, but current estimates peg the total number of delegates to next summer’s presidential nominating convention at about 4,491, meaning that a candidate would need 2,246 to win. The Clinton camp’s claim to more than 440 delegates means she’s already wrapped up the support of more than 60 percent of the approximately 713 superdelegates who, under party rules, are among those who cast votes for the nomination, along with delegates selected by rank-and-file voters in primaries and caucuses beginning next February. Delegate totals won’t be finalized until the DNC determines the number of bonus delegates awarded to states, a party official said. Let's put it in real simple terms. If Cruz or anyone else wins the Presidency the Dems will do the usual wailing and bitching we've all seen before. If Trump wins even just the nomination or the Presidency their reaction will be akin to taking a bite out of a shit sandwich. __________________________ They keep saying they just want "sensible gun laws" but they hold up countries where they are banned and confiscated as their ideal. I am not a Peggy Noonan fan-- at all-- but you can see in this article the first few fingers of a dawn that has not yet happened for the other elite "pundits." http://www.wsj.com/articles/am...o-in-play-1440715262 I have no idea why, but if you click this link you get a screen requiring you to "subscribe." However, if you go to Drudge's site, and click on the link he provides-- the link I copied-- you get the full article. I thought I was watching Don Rickles in a hairpiece. Trump is so entertaining, so good in front of a crowd and dealing with the media on the spot, that he earns himself true comedic license, which makes it easier to forgive/forget things he says that would sink any of the other candidates were they to say them. I loved how he owned the CNN reporter.
