I was just in 7-11 and saw a copy of USA Today. Headline:

GOP Abandoning Trump in Record Numbers!

I saw 3 new yard signs already today and his rallies are standing room only. Guess they know something the rest of us don't.

If they are referring to party elders / establishment hacks, they are probably right. Voters? Who knows?

The media attack will be unprecedented for the next 27 days. They know the plan to end Trump's campaign with the "sex tape" nonsense failed and they are now very worried. I have no doubt that, if the election were today, Trump would win the EC. They know it, too. They will do anything to keep that from happening.

Ignore it. Stay confident. We're winning.

In this critical election we spend our time talking about "lewd" remarks and Bill Clinton's sexual assaults, while things like obamacare get little attention.

http://www.realclearpolitics.c...ust_died_132035.html

Michelle Malkin:

Over the past three years, my family's private, individual health insurance plan -- a high-deductible Preferred Provider Organization -- has been canceled three times. Our first death notice, from Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, arrived in the fall of 2013. Our second, from Rocky Mountain Health Plans, came last August. Three weeks ago, we received another ominous "notice of plan discontinuation" from Anthem informing us that the insurer "will no longer offer your current health plan in the State of Colorado."

Every time we receive a cancellation letter, I recall President Obama's big lie: "If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor. Period. If you like your health care plan, you will be able to keep your health care plan. Period. No one will take it away. No matter what."

Our most recent plan features a $6,000 deductible with a $1,000 monthly premium.

Individual market customers on the Obamacare exchange in Oklahoma learned last week that they'll face average rate hikes of a whopping 76 percent.

Tennessee approved rate increases of between 44 and 62 percent for three insurers still carrying individual market plans

And in Minnesota, where the individual market is on the brink of collapse, state officials recently agreed to raise rates an average of 60 percent next year -- affecting an estimated 250,000 people both on and off the Obamacare exchanges.

Remember: Obamacare godfather and MIT professor Jonathan Gruber bragged that "lack of transparency" was a "huge political advantage," along with what he derided as "the stupidity of the American voter."

Now, millions of us are paying the price: crappier plans, fewer choices, shrinking access to specialists, skyrocketing price tags -- and no end in sight to the death spiral.

At one point I had her convinced to at least vote against Hitlery, but now she's changed her mind again. She keeps saying she refuses to be "bullied" into voting for somebody like Trump. All I can do now is tell her to keep her mouth shut after the elections are over as she will have no right to complain over what we get!!! Mad

Needless to say, I'm pissed!!!

have you shared this with her? I dont see how hillary can lose with this new way to vote Razz

I've been catching the media spin comparing Trump to dictators for threatening to properly prosecute Rotten Klinton. It's been fascinating, when in contrast, she's been protected and deflected prosecution like a dictator normally would.

Trump has been pounding Hillary on her "dream" of open borders.

I hope he turns to her and points this out to America in next week's debate.

I too get a kick out of all the Trump as dictator talk. Do they really think a dictator would support the 2nd Amendment and promote law abiding citizens be armed? Roll Eyes

They were not all rookies at the same time, though. With short term limits, that's what you end up with. And, the complexity of the bills is staggering. Maybe it shouldn't be, and maybe they get simpler with terms limits, but read 40 or 50 pages of one sometime, maybe an appropriations bill. That'll give you some insight, and a migraine, and the desire to slit your wrists simultaneously.

I also think it's good to avoid knee jerk reactions. From no limits to strict ultra short limits courts unintended consequences. Yeah, it feels good, but if it doesn't work , changing it to something more workable might be easier said than done.

True... at first she didn't because "there wasn't anyone she felt good about voting for" (her words, not mine). I eventually convinced her, or so I thought, to vote AGAINST Hillary, but now she has backtracked on that and will abstain from voting for a president. She claims she will still vote for all the other offices, just not that one... Roll Eyes

Edit to add: I also can't get her to comprehend the math behind the failure to cast a vote AGAINST being just about the same as voting FOR! She would never vote FOR Klinton, yet she refuses to vote AGAINST! She would also willingly vote for a 3rd party candidate if there were one, which of course would just be splitting the votes and taking away ones that could give the win to Trump! I've tried over and over to explain the math, and she responds with an "I don't believe it!" What the hell is there to not believe?!?

I've been out browsing the political sites this morning. Two themes there that are worth noting:

1. There are 27 days until the election. 27 days is a lifetime in a political election year. So much will happen between now and November 8th. Don't let anything happening today get you too high or too low. It will change several times over the next 27 days.

2. Although it isn't yet obvious, we are witnessing the birth of a new political party right in front of our eyes. Whether Trump wins or loses won't stop it. The day of the GOP as we've known it since the time of Lincoln has ended. There is going to be one helluva struggle between now and 2020 to reshape the political landscape and it could be very ugly. We live in interesting times.

Tell her she wouldn't be pulling the lever not only for the President, but also for the construct of the Supreme Court of the United States for up to 40-50 years. That's probably MORE important than the 4-8 years of a Presidency, given that person's VP wouldn't get elected...

Things are going to be very cold and strained in this household from now through November. She won't listen, and as Para said, I'm not going to bother any further. I'd just be wasting my breath at this point...

I don't know what will fill the gap, but I have heard a few talking heads saying that Ryan was setting himself up for a run in 2020. I laughed. That man will NEVER see a vote from me. Ever. I don't care if he is running against the devil herself. I will never support anyone who is currently helping Hillary win the presidency.

By then, people like my wife will have completely forgotten about that and happily vote for him!
