The Vatican has indeed taken in several families of Syrian refugees and, as well, has instructed parishes throughout Europe (and the world for that matter) to do the same...much to my dismay. No hypocrisy whatsoever from Francis or the Church on this matter.

IMO, the only walls we should be building is a wall around the Middle East to keep them all in rather than walls to keep them out.

2008 Obama 365 / McCain 173 (192)
2012 Obama 332 / Romney 206 (126)

Examining the margin of victory for the last three decades indicates the need for a solidified front. I will get behind whoever is nominated because underestimating the opposition never turns out well.

Well, let's see...

The Vatican is 100 acres in size with a population of around 800. How many would you like them to take in so they won't by "hypocrites" in your mind?

All you carrying the churches water are fools.

Well if the commie Pope kept his pie hole shut he wouldn't be in THIS thread. You know the TRUMP thread. ;-)

Yep, if this leftist Pope kept his mouth shut, he would not be in this thread.

Here is a great headline from an opinion piece in the Washington Post:

"Loser Pope takes on Donald Trump, suffers massive humiliation, slinks off to Vatican"

The commie rascal was down there on the border with that show for a reason. He kissed every mexican butt and kissed all the open border American butt. Two with one stone, and Trump would make it a trifecta. I suspect he should keep quiet for a while.

Trump's response, from the article:
quote:
If and when the Vatican is attacked by ISIS, which as everyone knows is ISIS’s ultimate trophy, I can promise you that the Pope would have only wished and prayed that Donald Trump would have been President because this would not have happened. ISIS would have been eradicated unlike what is happening now with our all talk, no action politicians.

The Mexican government and its leadership has made many disparaging remarks about me to the Pope, because they want to continue to rip off the United States, both on trade and at the border, and they understand I am totally wise to them. The Pope only heard one side of the story — he didn’t see the crime, the drug trafficking and the negative economic impact the current policies have on the United States. He doesn’t see how Mexican leadership is outsmarting President Obama and our leadership in every aspect of negotiation.

For a religious leader to question a person’s faith is disgraceful. I am proud to be a Christian and as President I will not allow Christianity to be consistently attacked and weakened, unlike what is happening now, with our current President. No leader, especially a religious leader, should have the right to question another man’s religion or faith. They are using the Pope as a pawn and they should be ashamed of themselves for doing so, especially when so many lives are involved and when illegal immigration is so rampant.

Forgive me, but the latest pope is a loud-mouthed, meddling, commie ASSHOLE.

Sig line material right there. Cool

The market is driving the solution as we speak; corporations are moving operations overseas to stay viable. It will take more then reducing the corporate tax rate to promote industry. The disparity in currency, reduction in the costs of labor, raw materials, and environmental compliance far out way the taxation. In fact, a 10% flat corporate tax would do nothing to spark our economy when company's like: "CBS, General Electric, Interpublic Group, JetBlue Airways, Mattel, Owens Corning, PG&E, Pepco Holdings, Priceline.com, Prudential Financial, Qualcomm, Ryder System, Time Warner, Weyerhaeuser and Xerox paid no federal income tax on $23 billion in profits in 2014, and paid almost no federal income tax on $107 billion in profits during the past five years."
