I didn't watch any of it last night. Glad I didn't. After about the third one, it becomes the theater of the absurd. The MSM set the table and got what it wanted. You know who I feel bad for? Scalia. On the day of his passing, he gets awarded with a donkey show.

Sometimes I get so damn disgusted I adopt an attitude of "Let's just stomp the gas and get this over with.

Shame on the whole lot of them.

Slobs are drawn to the drama. They don't understand or care about the substance of the debates which are boring and incomprehensible, but hope for some gore, like bull fights, or NASCAR, or roller derby, or pro Wrestling. Maybe some night, Rubio and Cruz will get into a fistfight, mess up Trump's hair, like Gorgeous George, or maybe Kasich will run over to Trump and push him down.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

" Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump did not close the door Monday on a possible third-party run after accusing the Republican party of breaking its pledge to stay neutral in the race.

“The (Republican National Committee) is in default,” Trump said during a news conference at the Hanahan Town Hall on Monday. “When somebody is in default, that means the other side can what they have to do.”

ABC has it as well

Trump is seriously floating that if he doesn't get nomination he'll run third party knowing it would secure a Democrat win in November? That audience was stacked against Cruz just as much as Trump, but you don't hear him crying. Mark Levin said tonight he couldn't even hear all of Cruz's answers because they were booing him so loudly.

I absolutely agree with Trump that stacking the audiences against him and Cruz is disgusting. Something should be done and they shouldn't put up with it, but even hinting at third party the weekend Scalia died with an opening on the Supreme Court is the most selfish and infuriating thing he's done up to this point.

This race isn't about him it's about saving the country. We all go back and forth supporting our candidates, but I haven't heard anyone on here say they wouldn't still come out in November. We all know the race is that important. The only way he'd be running third party is if Cruz beats him. So, pick me or I'll burn the house down with a vacancy on the Supreme Court???

The further this goes the more of Trump becomes exposed. Everyone is in default with him and he is going to sue everyone on the planet every time someone says something he takes exception to.

He will burn the house down before this is over. It's the only way he knows.

What got the debate off in a bad direction was that the audience was packed, front and center, with GOPe donors. The first time Trump spoke, they let loose a chorus of boos and catcalls. Trump got a bit of this kind of thing in Iowa, but last night's was much stronger-- louder, more raucous. You could see him almost flinch as if he'd been punched.

You might say that at that point he should have exercised self control. He should have responded, but calmly, rationally. In other words, he should not have been Donald Effing Trump. But you punch Trump, and he punches back, harder.

It wasn't pretty. It's too bad that presidential debates have become entertainment blood sports. The dignity of the office of POTUS has been soiled in so many ways in the past 8 years, and "debates" are just one more example.

I agree 100% about the packed audience garbage, but while all the Trump faithful are screaming poor Trump, it's all the audiences fault, they forget that they booed just as loudly every time Cruz opened his mouth. Forget the garbage audience, what hurt Trump last night was the garbage and lies coming from his mouth last night. He may have gotten booed in any room with Rebublicans with that 9/11 truther conspiracy crap though.

By the way, does anybody know how many states have open primaries? I've always thought that was BS but never bothered to look how many states did that. Just a question, don't want to get into what it may or may not cause.

He is going back to ass clown status rapidly. Come on Trump...

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump says he is "very seriously" considering suing GOP rival Sen. Ted Cruz.

"I’m thinking about it very seriously," Trump told ABC News' George Stephanopoulos on "Good Morning America" today. "I’ve never dealt with anybody who lies like him."

Trump pointed to his own positions on gun rights, as well as the dismantling of President Obama's signature health care law, saying that the Texas senator was misleading voters about his stances.

"Ted Cruz is a liar," he said. "I think he's a very unstable person. I have never had somebody take something you believe in and say the exact opposite."

Trump also criticized Cruz over mailers from his campaign in Iowa, which claimed some voters had a "voter violation."

"What he did to Ben Carson was a disgrace," Trump said. "That election in Iowa should be taken away from him."

Trump also continued his criticism of former President George W. Bush for his handling of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

"Had we had my immigration policies in effect, those people wouldn't have been in the country for the most part," Trump said. "I don't know if [Bush] lied or not. I know the CIA and other agencies knew something bad was going to happen. They did nothing about it."

"Strength is not empty rhetoric. It is not bluster. It is not theatrics,” George W. Bush said. “This is a serious election for a serious job."

he is putting many of us in a rock and a hard place. I find it very difficult to support him over Cruz and even over Rubio. But, he may win the nomination and that puts our country with its back to the cliff with the heels hanging over the edge.
Hillary, Sanders, Trump? What a catastrophe.
Bloomberg, Biden, Kasich?? Not much better.

I have to support the Republican nominee but what a mess this is becoming.

Be well

He has officially lost any chance of me voting for him in a primary or in a general.

I am in the fortunate place of living in a State that will go red regardless, and I will sit it out before I'd vote for Trump in the general.

People keep saying we have to be loyal to whoever gets the nomination and I was behind that, but Trump isn't. He's the front runner and is still threatening a third party run with a vacancy on the Supreme Court. People need to realize that win or lose he isn't with conservatives. This is all about him. No one who cares about the Constitution and conservative principles would take things that far 2 days after Scalia died. And why take it there when he's up in the polls and has a clear path to winning? I said this before, but it's basically don't even think about picking Cruz or I'll burn the house down.

Blamed bush for the Towers falling
Said Bush lied about weapons in Iraq
Defended Planned Parenthood
Defended Eminent domain
Going to sue Cruz
Still crying about Iowa as the front runner two weeks later
Floating third party if he doesn't get his way

People keep ignoring and justifying his actions of the past few weeks, but even if we stay loyal he isn't. He's ripping us apart for no reason. He's the FRONT RUNNER. None of this makes sense and none of this is necessary. It's almost like anytime he has a clear path to winning and can unite us behind him he wants the train to go off the tracks. People think he's going to win in November? There is no way conservatives don't stay home with what he's doing.

Because just winning isn't good enough for him.
He wants his perceived enemies to bow on bended knee before him.
Apologize to me or I will sue you.

Instead of calling press conferences demanding Cruz apologize and threatening law suits over the stupid supposed birther issue and blaming Bush for 9/11 he should be shouting even louder for Hillary to recuse herself from the campaign due to being investigated by the FBI for National Security breaches and possible criminal actions.

If he were doing this instead of beating on perceived Republican enemies whom he has already defeated he would be being cheered and picking up voters instead of losing voters.

He's a tool. Quite possibly a liberal tool at that.

This is why I can't trust, or support Trump.
quote:
Donald Trump commands a first-place lead in the polls and may have the clearest path to the Republican nomination of any candidate in the presidential race.

But his allegiance to the Republican Party remains as brittle as ever, and Trump proved it again on Monday when he resurfaced the idea that he would launch a third-party bid in retaliation to what he regards as unfair treatment by the GOP leadership.

In September 2015, Trump signed a pledge not to launch an independent bid for president if he lost the GOP primary. There was a catch: He added an exception to the pledge that made it invalid if the Republicans mistreated him — "a loophole so enormous it could mean anything Trump wants," as New York magazine's Jonathan Chait pointed out.

Trump affirmed his willingness to exploit that crater-size exception during a town hall in South Carolina on Monday, in which he criticized the GOP for allegedly packing the last Republican debate audience with Trump opponents.

"The RNC better get its act together because, you know, I signed a pledge. The pledge isn’t being honored by the RNC," Trump said, according to ABC News. "I signed a pledge, but it’s a double-edged pledge. As far as I’m concerned, they’re in default on their pledge."

Yeah it's Vox, but the source doesn't change the fact he's threatening the GOP

I wish somebody would have told Trump to look in the mirror when he called Cruz a liar. All Cruz did was point out Trumps positions and there were no lies there.

He did not. The Cruz and Rubio teams passed on a story that was Tweeted (I hate Twitter) originally by a reporter at CNN. Rush did some analysis on it...

This is funny....post from another board. Big Grin

I sure will be glad when all these damned primaries are over and we have one candidate. I get so tired of changing my mind every few days.

First I decide Cruz is not really a conservative, so I lean toward Trump. Then I tire of Trump's childish outbursts and temper tantrums, and decide that he wouldn't be a good leader of this country, so I gravitate toward Rubio.

Then quickly realize he is a total flake who couldn't lead Puffy to a whore house. Then I look at Jeb Bush who needs a set of balls badly. I remember his brother landing a jet on a carrier in the middle of a hurricane that turned into a snow storm with 12 inches of ice on the deck and no lights on the carrier due to an electrical breakdown, and the jet was out of gas and he was gliding into the wind trying to get to the carrier 400 miles away and ended up landing the jet perfectly.

I may have one or two of the details wrong but you get my drift. The point is Jeb is nowhere near the man his brother is. So he is out. I like Carson but he doesn't have a chance in hell. I really like Palin but the liberal press almost destroyed her family the last time so I doubt she would even think of running. So to me it looks like the Republicans are up shit creek unless somebody strong emerges pretty quick.
